We won't know until we try it. It'll be the first thing i do once i get mine. My 1750 seidio battery is fully charged and ready to go. I sure hope it works, but if not then i'll just get a larger battery when one does come out. But so far they look to be the same battery, i don't think they went through the hassle of making a special one for the incredible so another phones battery should work, we just don't know if its the eris's battery or something else.
I'm really hoping so I have 2 1500mah batteries that are almost broke in , would be great to just pop one of those into the Incredible and call it a day then sell my Eris with 2 1300 battiers and have the 2 1500 batteries for my Incredible
The poster above me says its not the right size. I'll know thursday when my incredible shows up, i'll at least see if it will work, but i'm not holding my breath.
Do you have any first hand information or a link to a thread where someone successfully used a droid eris battery on the incredible? If so let us know, i'm interested.
If you look at pics of both batteries they are a match in size and shape. If you go on Ebay as well they are selling droid incredible batteries that are the same exact battery as the Eris. Why would HTC design a completely different style of battery and waste money on it when they could just use the same battery from the Eris?
I posted this in another thread but this one looks like it could use the info too.
I used digital calipers to take the measurements. They are: 65.00mm x 43.80mm x 4.30mm.
If someone else has an Eris and some good calipers, we could compare notes.
Note in the next pic the two notches in the left and right corners of the battery. They line up with two tabs on the battery slot. Any replacement battery will need these notches to work. Also notice the moisture sensor on the right of the battery.
From my discussion with a "friend" at Verizon the batteries are identical. I hope it is true 'cause all I need do is wait for the extended battery cover to be released and I'll be using my 3600 mAh battery with the Incredible.
One thing that irks me: The Incredible uses a micro-USB vs the mini-USB charger that most HTC phones use. Why???

So in the link, the battery says, "for HTC droid eris" on them. If you already bought 2 of them, it sounds like you know for certain that the droid eris batteries will work on the incredible? am I right in my assumption?

If you look near the beginning he's basing it off of "they look the same in pictures" and "it wouldn't make sense for it not to be".
Don't buy one. Hell, with printers every new one has a different cartridge lol. Not to mention as I said earlier htc makes many phones and NKT said it probably was the size of the touch pro 2 and he knows more about this thing than most people here via his job. I'm not saying it's impossible it shares the same battery as the eris, but the evidence suggests it doesn't so there is no point in buying them now without confirmation.
