WHAT WHAT WHAT? Motomaker for 99 bucks!

Those SOB's at Motorola would not credit my account because I bought my device a few days prior to what they say is the October 10th cutoff. You can bet that Apple would have refunded the $100 no problem. AND you would speak to someone that's not from Bangladesh or Mumbai or someplace like that

Here's the thing. You bought when you bought. At the time you rationalized the cost and it was "OK". Don't blame Moto for your timing. If we all waited for 3 months after a phone launched we'd all get a lower cost.

And look Apple is the KING of gouging people (IF they refunded your 100 which I doubt) they would make up any concessions in initial price by charging you out the @$$ for accessories that are proprietorial plugs and what not.

You have what is in my opinion the best phone available. Love it and move on.

Or do what I did call your carrier and raise heck about everything else and get some credits.

FWIW, I know this won't make you feel better, but, to be fair, I looked up Apple's refund policies on price reductions. It's pretty clearly spelled out: they will refund the difference in price, or accept a return for a full refund, for any device that was bought within 14 days of a price reduction. You have 14 days from the price reduction to initiate the return or request the refund.

That maybe true, but in practice they generally do the right thing in the interest of customer satisfaction. Remember the fiasco a few years ago when they dropped the iPhone price a few weeks after launch. They did a wholesale refund to the original purchasers. But anyway it's all a waste of time at this point. I'm happy with the device, but severely disillusioned with the service. Give it up with using India and Pakistan for customer service already. That's half the problem. It's not our culture, not our country, not our citizens. I think it sucks And is hypocritical to use the fact that it is built in Texas as a selling point. Yea,, Apple uses Chinese labor to build their stuff, but call them for service and you get an American on the other end. A lot to be said about that. I can't stand having to ask the accented English speaking person on the other end to repeat what they said when they are speaking what is supposed to be English for crying out loud.

Yea I don't know where the thread is but I wrote about it here. I called ATT before I bought and told them I was considering getting service elsewhere. They offered $50 off the upgrade price of a phone and when I told them I wanted the Moto X from Motomaker they said they couldn't do the $50 off but would credit my account $50 ... well with taxes and fees it was actually a $59 credit .... then they waived the upgrade fee for both my phone and my wife's ($35 + $35) then they lowered my unlimited text by $10 a month and also gave me a random $10 reduction for 12 months. Sooooo my $249 Motomaker phone really cost me $100 that day plus I have 11 months of $20 lower monthly charges for a grand total of $220 soooo They paid me $120 to get my Moto X.

Just say'n.
