A new phone with Public Mobile, the... Elevation? Anyone know what it is?

Biggest disappointment is that it's still android 4.0. Still, I can't anything on Google about this phone. It doesn't even say it's from which company.

As a new user, I cannot post the link, but just go to public mobile's official site and the phone section. It's the first phone on the list.

Speaking from an insider's point of view, I can tell you that the phone is unbranded but manufactured by SangFei. The model number under the back cover is SAF3011PM.

I'm looking into this phone too.. it has 756 mb of ram a 4 gb rom but thats all i know...

One big problem... You can't see anything when the phone is on the horizontal. You know, when your laptop in in the wrong angle and everything is high contrast?

Well, it's like that. You have to tilt it to the side to see correctly.

I'm going to go back to the store very soon to get another model instead.

Yeah I had a chance to try it...it really sucked..it had a low score on antutu...it is slow..It's just a crappy China phone......besides it's 249 and in a little over a year telus is gonna dismantle the Public network and that phone along with all public 3g phones will be obsolete....

It scored 3700...accurate or not the n860 scores 4700 and the n861 scores 5700 when stock...

When tweaked the n860 is capable of a 8k score...

I didn't know Telus bought public mobile... That really sucks.

It seems the difference between public mobile's phone is mainly processor speed and ram.. eMMC is fixed at 4gb, while the differences are from 200mb ram to 200mhz cpu speed increase...

Yeah man it's the end of unlimited data... it does really suck.. Telus was one of the three major companies opposed to Verizon coming to Canada saying that we didn't need a new company and that they didn't have the monopoly and that there where small companies like Wind and Public to ensure no monopoly. Once Verizon expressed that coming to Canada seemed like too much of an investment at this point... Telus bought Public... it's a very frustrating croc of garbage that leaves us on the east coast at the mercy of the monopoly....

I got this phone yesterday. I've successfully rooted it

Now if only someone had the stock zip and compiled a clockworkmod for this....

Btw, you go to to settings and click update, it will ask you to pick from your local storage plus its got an open bootloader.
