[rom][12-17-13] cm-11.0-jewel [kit-kat][4.4.2] - xda-developers

Yes, you read that right. KitKat on the EVO 4G LTE! All thanks to deck, along with Flemmard and intervigil to bring it up in record time!

A specific version of TWRP is required to flash it (linked in the thread) with SELinux support. Don't worry; it can be used to flash any other ROMs too.

So stop on over there and enjoy!

Is that an app or what?

edit: Ok, I am on the hunt... :)

edit 2: found it in the playstore, was a pleasure to throw JoeyKrim a dollar. :)

edit 3: quick and relatively painless. The rom booted 2 or 3 times... that was interesting. :)

edit 4: Very interesting, and quick as the dickens. Gps probs though, same as always for me on AOSP. Trying the sense lock technique.

Would this rom use the updated TP firmware from a while back? I have been running on the non upgraded version.

Okay, here are my test results on this ROM.

The ROM runs smoothly (thumbs up)-
It will take some getting use to using the keyboard -
Calendar doesn't seem to be syncing at all -
I tried numerous time to create a CyanogenMod account to no avail -
4G LTE connects ... but doesn't do anything at all. [Completely Useless] -
Double tap / zoom in / zoom out don't work as awesome as in Jellybean -

Apart from those cons listed ... I think this ROM has potential to be the best Android version ever.

Keep in mind that each person result and preference may vary. :)

Not getting 4G Lte to work ...and the calendar app to sync are the two biggest deal breaker for me. :(

Installing Google Calendar will fix the sync issue. And LTE does work, but you may have to toggle airplane mode to get it to connect the first time. It works fine for me, but everyone's device is different.

And zooming is supposed to be by pinching and spreading. CM supports 10-point multi-touch, while stock Jellybean only supports 2-point, so your double tap accuracy has to be better in CM to get registered as multiple touches in the same location. That's why pinching is recommended ;).

You need to post those tips inside the OP of this thread ... Here I'm thinking that I wouldn't be able to use this ROM because of the problems I was having.

Is there anything else you'd like to share? [Smile]

4G LTE network and the calendar app now works.
Thanks again__Cap_THrowback. ;)
