Bluetooth audio equalizer settings

I picked up a Jawbone Big Jambox to stream bluetooth audio. In the Play Music app, the equalizer setting redirects to a system equalizer which seems to offer only wired and handset speaker settings. I see no way to adjust bluetooth audio. Play Music on my Nexus 7 still uses the equalizer that comes with Play Music and it works fine.

Do I need a third party app to EQ bluetooth audio?

did you ever find anything that works for bluetooth? that equalizer app didn't work i think because we don't have an music effects settings tab in witch to activate it.

Equalizer by Smart Android Apps works.

that's the one i tried. how did you get it to work? i couldn't enable it from settings, and any changes made in it didn't seem to change the music sound

edit: actually, it seems that it works for the little sample track that's included with it, and it does work over bluetooth, but it has no effect on Pandora audio

I have only used it with Google Music so I don't know about Pandora.
