I just woke up (2pm!?!? yeah I'm a night owl) and first thing I did was what? Check my status of my DInc. and I was still stuck seeing "We have received your order." Now a few posts back, and I've seen it a couple other places was the Internet Sales # for VZW..

I called them, and was greeted by a quaint CSR.. we had a few chuckles back and forth, explained my situation and she happily "bumped" me in the processing queue and said to expect to have my order processed in 2-3hrs.. I was happy at that and I suppose with a little wit and humor it got her to put me back on hold for a moment while she "checked on something".. She came back and said "For 8.99 I'll have it out the door tonight and at your place tomorrow.. wanna do that?" Hell yeah I said, literally..

So my point is.. CALL 800-711-7773. Be polite, remember they are just doing their job and have no control over your particular issue. If you're nice, I guarantee they will be too. She put me ahead of the line in processing, then decided to scratch that and make sure I get my phone tomorrow.. go her!

I just got my tracking #, it says thursday by 7:00pm. Ahh well, i was just about ready to get on the phone and see if it would work to get it a day early, but no biggie. Maybe i'll get my rc nitro truck going again to keep me occupied the next couple of days

Verizon is actually giving free shipping for Overnight shipped orders, so you should be able to get your shipping refunded:

I originally paid the $8.99 for overnight shipping when I placed my order. I called the same number you did yesterday and was told my phone is shipping from the midwest regional facility and the shipments are in a hold status until the 28th. She said no phone will leave that facility before then. So, this doesn't work for everyone.

I'm guessing the midwest facility is in memphis tennessee. In which case my phone just left verizon and is in fedex's possession.

Ouch! I can't imagine not living near the beach.. befuddles me. I'm over in Charleston SC.. We've got a pool that only gets used during the winter, cause we can walk to the beach..

I miss Florida though everything minus the gator attacks & hurricanes.. but otherwise great place to live lol..

She probably didn't know what she was talking about. When I called customer service yesterday, I was told my phone wouldn't ship until the 29th because the phones aren't released until then. I told the rep that their own site states that pre-orders made by 4 pm on April 28th will be delivered on April 29th. She acted like it was new information to her and even told me she didn't know that.

Certainly isn't historical.. more like hysterical.. and awesome to go get tanked at while you boo randomly at some lowerclass baseball team. Yeah, I'm one of those hecklers.

But I do have the Ravenel Bridge 2 miles away from me, largest suspension bridge in this hemisphere.

My parents live out in BFE.. she has cows, chickens & horseees.. she thinks she's a farmer. Silly woman.

Mine was shipped Sunday and arrived at the fedex facility that night; it has said the same thing since yesterday morning - that fedex has received the shipment information. But it also says it will be delivered by 7PM tomorrow. So what are the chances of that happening?

Looks pretty, is it bigger than the mackinaw bridge? Its been awhile since i've been up to michigan, but i grew up there and at least back then it was the largest, or so they told us. Ahh well, they are both big ass bridges, thats for sure

Ha i just looked it up and the mackinaw bridge is longer. The ravenel bridge is actually not a suspension bridge but is a cable tied bridge which is slightly different. However there are 2 larger suspension bridges in the USA besides the mackinaw bridge, one is in Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in new york and the other being the golden gate bridge in san fransico, california. The 3rd largest is of course the mackinaw bridge which has a main span of 3800 ft . The ravenel bridge has a main span of 1543 ft.

I called and the lady I spoke with said that they are experiencing an overwhelming number of orders and the processing department is working overtime to ensure that all orders placed before the deadline will be shipped on time.

I'm ok with getting it on the 29th, I had no expectations of getting it earlier so I just keep telling myself 3 more days, 2 more days, etc...

Yeah and some people doubted me when i said a slew of orders would be pouring in from those that were waiting for the nexus one, ahh well. This phone is going to be really popular

Same for me, except a weird wrinkle. I'd pre-ordered a few hours after the site went live, and yesterday got a VZ email saying my credit card had rejected the charge and gave me a number to call. Since I'd just used the card an hour earlier (a business AMEX), it didn't make sense. Called VZ and they said that's what happened but they'd put it back in the queue and it would be processed within an hour. Called AMEX who said my card was fine and there was no record of any attempt by VZ to charge something to it. Called VZ again, who just repeated their story but said it should be processed "within the hour." Nothing.

Still nothing today other than the common message about being processed and check back tomorrow. VZ rep confirmed they ran out, but said they were supposed to get more by this afternoon. Being flown in by Airborne Porcine shippers, I presume. Or unicorns.

I think jwm2 is absolutely right that when VZ announced they were not selling the Nexus One, the flood turned into a tsunami. Rather frustrating, eh? I want my toy! Uh, I mean my critical business device.

You're an ass. Kidding of course.. I always say suspension bridge and my buddy is always quick to correct me.. w/e.. its big and I'm able to do 180mph across it on my GSXR before I hit the speed-check points..

what concerns me is I never remember choosing next day air, will they automatically just send it out today for tomorrow even though it says 2-3 business days, I will most likely call in a few hours just to check if nothing changes I just wanted t see if any of you guys had the same thing

Have you called customer service yet? I ordered mine yesterday afternoon and i just got my shipping notification this morning. I got worried last night after reading everyone's posts and contacted customer service to see if i would get a phone on time, after 5 minutes of talking with them my order was processed. You may want to try talking to one or two customer service reps to confirm you will get yours on time!
