Just wanted to say how offended I am by their offerings or lack thereof. You want to offer last year's device for $50? (galaxy note 2) Or another old phone with a spiffy new paint job to disguise it's slowness?

I just hope there aren't tons of people taking advantage of these because verizon has a slew of old equipment to get rid of.

Especially with the customers on shared data. My heart goes out to any power user who has to feel paranoid about their data consumption and then is also upset even more by an old device. I sure as heck wouldn't want to be locked in for 24 full months on an already non current phone.

Terrible.

Judging from the questions I hear hanging around certain parts of certain stores, the total knowledge of the majority of the human species as far as cellphones falls somewhere between none at all and not enough to make any difference.

They're going to try to sell any crap they have in stock, whether it's useable for the purpose or not (look at all the "64GB" SD cards you can buy on line that are relabeled ~8GB cards). Want a fantastic phone? The Note 2! Hey, look at this $59 :::ANDROID::: phone (Precedent).

Stock sitting on shelves isn't money not coming in, it's money being wasted (it could be invested in corporate paper and be earning something) - so any company with bean counters who can count past 10 without taking their shoes off will dump merchandise at any profit at all - even if it's a dime - just to get the investment back. Where do you think the concept of "Black Friday" originated? If they don't buy all year, let's make them think we're giving them something special one day a year, and dump all the old stock. The 6 weeks leading up to Christmas didn't do enough, so let's push all that intensity into a single day. (Notice how the Christmas ornaments start showing up even before the pumpkins are ripe?)

The last company that actually cared about its customers? Probably some guy who traded spear shafts for stone points. The business motto (the motto of the concept of business itself) is "profit isn't the most important thing, it's the only thing".

I guess because they didnt offer the specific phone youre looking for and offer to pay you to take it they must be trying to pull a fast one

Well, the wife just got a S3 upgrade last month and it would be nice of Vzw to let you trade up to the S4 since its offered for free. But we all know being nice is not part of their business plan.

I won't get fooled again and will be dumping them in 6 more days. They will not be robbing me anymore for 2 years. I don't care how good of coverage they offer.

Plus the $30 upgrade fee and the $35 activation fee but the activation fee is waived. And they sold all they had. But they can put a note on your account so if you can find one anywhere you get the free plus $30 price.
