Forum Bugs - Post em here.

Good, a bugs thread for the site.

I don't see any posts about the site itself being very, very laggy at times (on my computers, not my Eris ;)).

The pages will often take whole minutes to load, or just not load at all. This has been happening at random times, but more frequently for about the past two weeks, I'd say (I wish I'd taken mental note of when I first began experiencing this).

I have switched from this laptop to a PC in the next room, then to one down the hall not on the same router, and doing so has had no effect on the problem.

Of course, being random, occurring without warning as to time of day or other conditions, I have no way to predict or duplicate the problem.

So, all I can do is ask about it here; has anybody else seen this? I do recall one user mentioning it in the Eris or Verizon forum the other day.

[EDIT]: I just spotted this post... http://androidforums.com/suggestion...ow-androidforums-has-downtime.html#post572773

..and I think it answers my question. ;)

I'm having tons of issues the last couple of days in regards to login, new posts of a thread notifications, and go to first new post functionality.

This is on chrome on two separate computers (home and work).

First it wasn't even trying to log me in automatically and when I manually logged it still doesn't reflect which threads had new posts properly. I cleared two androidforum cookies on both machines and these two issues are slightly better. I've never been properly logged in from the main forums list page, but when I go to subforums it logs me in (or at least it shows me as logged in properly).

But now when I click the icon to jump to the first new post it just takes me to the first post in the thread.

VIA email. I have to check USER CP to see if someone has responded. I did not get one from your response....FYI....

Oh, that's an easy fix. Go to User CP > Edit Options (in the left pain) > Head to the second box down, Messaging and Notification > In the second option down, Default Thread Subscription Mode, click the drop down box and select Instant Email Notification > Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.
This will fix the subscription for future threads you reply to.

For threads that you are already subscribed to, go to User CP > in the first box, New Subscribed Threads, click View all Subscribed Threads > select all of the threads that you want to receive email notification for by clicking their respective check box > scroll down to the bottom and click the drop down menu > Select Instant Email Notification > Press Go.
All set :D
....Hope all of that makes sense

Oh my....makes total sense, however I had all that already. I have not been getting notifications for some reason for the last month or so. PM's phases and he said he knew about it (site issue) and was working on it....that was last week.

Then I should be getting them if they are marked "instant", right? Cause I am not.....

Well this didn't fix our email delivery problem - it only helps to not make it worse while we try to fix it. We know many emails aren't getting delivered..

PM me your email account I'll verify it's at least entered right in our system.
