I just ran across this Upgrade apk for ROM Manager. So far I think its Great.

I like the option to download backups in zip format to PC. This makes it soo easy to keep storage space on Nexus 5.

You can also update ROMS and recoveries with this app.

I don't know what else it can do, but there is a load of options to fiddle with.

These types of apps *generally* work well on nexus devices, but I'll always advise people against using apps that attempt to automate recovery options.

The problem is they don't always work, and that can leave inexperienced people with a phone in a bootloop and no knowledge on how to recover.

As long as you know how to do things manually from recovery or fastboot you should be alright... I guess what I'm trying to say is use it as a tool to make your life easier, but don't rely on it as the only method.

Just copy/paste it from MTP to your choice of location on your PC.

The command you'll use is "adb pull X Y"

X is the location of the file on your phone, starting from the root folder (aka the top most folder, not a subdirectory)

Y is the filename

That'll copy it to your adb folder

They mean plug it into your computer with the USB cord. Your computer should recognize it as a media device and you can simply drag and drop files to/from it

If you are using TWRP

Open internal storage, and navigate to TWRP/Backups/Folder with a lot of numbers and letters in it's name/ There are your Nandroid backups. Helps if you gave them descriptive names.

CWM, I have no idea, but should be similar.

Might have known...Im using CWM....
Nexus 5>Internal Storage>Clockworkmod>.....No backup folder.

I see them on phone /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/ then the backups.
But I cant seem to access them via pc

Not as savy as I thought I was.

Im going to switch to TWRP....

I could not do anything that I wanted with the CWM.
I am finding that TWRP is working better for me.

CWM locates backups in a secure location now that apps cant see. But you can access it via adb or backup to your GDrive acct etc.

path is /mtn/shell/clockworkmod/backups.
