Any idea what this means?

In a house
My laptop has been running very slow lately and today is probably the slowest it has ever been. My first thought was to run a quick scan on it to see if it would pick up anything but it found nothing. My laptop disconnected from my network and will not connect now. There are no problems with my router and I have already reset it. I decided to access my control panel and connect to my network but when I clicked on it I got a popup error:
C:\Windows\system32\xwizard.exe
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
I am beyond confused and I can't connect to any network at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sounds like you are running out of hard drive space and/or RAM. You can try disabling some start up items and see if that frees up system space.

Start>Run>msconfig
Go the tab for the startup items. Uncheck those you don't need at startup. Save and exit msconfig. Re-start.

You may also want to delete your Temporary files and defrag your HDD:
Start>accessories>system tools> delete temp files.
Start>accessories>system tools>defragment (your HDD).

I use a nice free utility called CCleaner which I run on a daily basis to keep my system cleaned up of temp files, cookies and other garbage.

+1 for CCleaner

I don't use windows but when I did I used that.

You may also want to go and uninstall software you no longer use.

Also try glarysoft that can help with a lot of issues like registry errors.

I finally figured out why it wouldn't connect to the internet. I just needed to update the driver  As for the performance I still don't know what caused it. My computer rebooted by itself and has been running fine (for now).

Edit: I am going to assume for now that my RAM and CPU were running too high which caused the freezes. I use this laptop way too much :D
