Root [Verizon] Do I need a new SIM Card?

My mobile data never seems to work at all anymore. A few months I flashed CM 10.1 and my data seemed to go from always have 4G to almost always having 1x. I flashed PACman rom then, the same problem, tried jellybam, nothing, finally I restored to stock and tried rerooting and flashing the latest cm 10.2. I've been running it for about a week and a half now and I get maybe 50% of the time 1x connection and the test of the time nothing. Would getting a new SIM Card help?

I'd reflash to stock, then bring it into the store and ask them for help. The SIM basically registers the phone on the network. If your account is provisioned for 4G, you should be getting 4G or no network connection if the problem is the SIM card. (I wouldn't ask the store to help with CM installed in the phone, unless you deal with an independent store and the techs or owner play with ROMs.)

Ok I tried setting it to home only and NV, power off, remove SIM, power on and I got a pop-up that said you have to make a call to activate your phone. Not having my SIM in I pulled battery, put it back in and the SIM back in, reboot and received the pop-up again. Should I have clicked activate? I pressed my home button, went to setting and set it back to automatic and ruim/SIM, rebooted and did not get the message.?? And I've tried returning to stock and dialing that number, it did not work. So would a new SIM fix all this?

Backup your things, flash stock and if activation message comes, take that. It may setup you 3g 4g profile . And if did not work, simply return it to store and either get it fix or get it replace .
To do store thing, u should be on stock without root and in stock recovery .
