Help Can't attach more than 5MB to email

OK, so I looked it up and, yes, my quota for email size 50mb.

The email program that came with my phone will only allow 5mb.

I tried to download Aquamail and I think something is messed up with the outgoing servers because it can't send any messages and they are all stacked in my "outgoing mail" box.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to double-check that your SMTP settings are configured correctly in Aquamail.

That's what I thought too... tried to reinstall the account in Aquamail (can't figure out how to change outgoing server). No change. Can't mail out.

"Long click on the account name - account setup. Choose manually." to edit the server settings (I'm going off of something I found on AM's forum, as I don't currently have it installed. Hope this helps!)

It sounds like you may need a third-party file manager installed to be able to attach anything other than images. OI File Manager is about as basic, lightweight, and simple as they come - but you could also try something like the popular ES File Manager.

THANK YOU!!!!

It's working!!!! I downloaded a file manager and when I load the photos (attachments of any sort) through the file manager to the email, it seems to be loading... AND NOW IT SENT!!! a 13MB email!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!

Unfortunately it is using the outgoing server from Bell, and not my outgoing server from my email account, so I can't send enail on wifi.. but I wil have to contact my email provider for that.

Now I'm going to have to worry about my data limit for this month since I've had to download and upload so many different things to find something that works!!! LOL!
