...and it is irritating. LG included a feature called "Capture Plus" for the android browser that allows you to screen shot an entire web page, not just the portion that is showing on the screen. All VZW included was chrome, which is fine but there are some sites in which the android browser just takes better control of...rant finished

Yeah, I started using Dolphin browser because of this, but I find some sites display poorly it in, and OK in Chrome.

If you happen to be rooted, flash in recovery. If you're not, extract the lgbrowser.apk out of the zip and side load it. I've been using that version since it was posted. Working beautifully.

Tried extracting and copying to phone using wireless storage. It copies to the phone but does not install. any help?

Yes I ran APK and got "application Not Installed"

I'm assuming you don't need to be rooted. I just tried to DL to phone directly and getting the same issue. Anyone not rooted get it to work? if so how?

Where is the apk housed right now? If not on the root of the sdcard partition try from there. And you have "unknown sources" checked? If yes to all that, maybe I could do it because I'm rooted. I may have installed straight to system, can't remember now.

I should have my G2 Saturday but on my phone unknown sources is under Settings> Security. That would definitely need to be checked.

IBT, I didn't see anyone in that thread who just tried to sideload the apk. I imagine you really do have to flash the entire zip.

Me either but generally that can be done by just extracting the apk.

However, I just checked out the updater script and found this:

delete("/system/app/BrowserProviderProxy.odex");[/HIGH]And so I'm thinking this may have to be installed as a "system" app. Which is indeed how it's showing up in Titanium. Also, I don't have the option to delete from the app manager so that's another sure sign. Therefore in this case, I think the app is written in such a way that it does have to be installed with root. Sorry guys.

It needs to be flashed from recover, root is needed. This works with Q-Slide. :]
