It does ok, but is a little bulky for a phone that fits so well in the hand otherwise. It does protect the phone though. I'm going to check out yall's other suggestions as well.

The looming Cyber Monday sale has lured me into a Moto X to replace my Galaxy Nexus. Can anyone provide additional feedback on either of the above two cases? I'm absolutely looking for something along the lines of the Otterbox Defender, but my experience with the Defender on my Galaxy Nexus pushed me into a Seidio Convert Combo for my Nexus, and I love it - it's orders of magnitude better than the defender. My only hesitation in going with Seidio for the Moto X is that they don't offer the Active Combo for the Moto X, and their Dilex model (closest to what I'm looking for) doesn't protect the ports on the phone, the spring clip doesn't lock, and kickstand (looks like it would interfere with holding the phone).

I sometimes work if very dusty environments and want the ports protected (concrete dust in commercial construction gets EVERYWHERE).

Hi Mike!

We do offer the DILEX Combo (formerly ACTIVE) for the Moto X: SEIDIO | DILEX with Metal Kickstand Case & Holster Combo for Motorola Moto X . The ports are left open for convenience and the kickstand should not interfere with the phone in your hand.

+1 bear motion

Never really had a case this like before. Very slim and the feel is like...soft sandpaper? or umm harder suede?

Anyway, its not completely bulletproof but its still gives some protection while giving you a good grip and still remaining slim.

So far, anyone that looks and feels it is very surprised that they really like it.

I have a white/white/silver buttons moto x...so a grey (cement color) bear motion case looks sick and very unique.

I just got my white 16GB TMO Moto X on Wednesday that I ordered Cyber Monday. I absolutely love this phone. Anyway, I ended up ordering the Anker Minimalistic Case which basically looks the exact same case as the Bear Motion that you have. I havent gotten it yet but would love some feedback on how it's holding up.

Well, it is absolutely awesome for guys....let me explain.

I let my girl use it a few times, and every time I had to wash it because she left half her freakin face on it. (It loves to hold on to make up)

Blindman, is the bear motion flexible like the anker one that was posted? They look the same except I'm not sure if the bear is flexible. Thanks!

I just wanted to make a quick post to show some pictures of the new case that I got in today. I just couldn't find a whole lot of post about cases and none about this one specifically.

I'll use it for a few days to go into further detail about day to day use.

First impressions are great due to the overall look and feel of the case.

It has an awesome texture that feels like very fine sandpaper that's been used and is now smooth if that makes any sense. It also fits perfectly with a very durable and tight fit. It doesn't feel like its going to fall off or wear and lose form but only time will tell.

It also has an open top and bottom which I love simply because I can use my Audio Technica headphones again without having to take my case off every time I want to listen to music. I would love to have a closed top and bottom that also fits the headohone jack but that wishful thinking as I've yet to come across one that does.

The color is great but not the same as the picture on Amazon. It's much darker in person which isn't a bad thing just not what I expected. Even still I'm glad that I got to get a colorful case as I missed out on the Cyber Monday Moto Maker deal and had to settle for a woven white TMO Moto X. Not complaining, just kind of bummed I didn't get my custom paint job. This case is a nice alternative.

I also like that the Anker branding on the back isn't tacky and huge. Most case makers need to take a note and not slap their ugly logo or lame name all over the case and if they want too then at least make it small like Anker did. Keep it simple.

That's all I can really say at this point but will update later after a few days of use.

Here's the link in case you want to snag on for yourself:

First time I have seen the Anker case mentioned on here. I know lots of people are going with this "sand" like case. Most of us have the Bear Motion one. Thats like the exact same thing. I love these cases though. They are cheap and awesome.

Yeah, I've seen quite a few people talking about the Bear Motion version. How has the case been holding up? It seems pretty durable and should hold up over time.

The durability has been good for me. I haven't technically dropped it and see how it held up after that. But other then that its been fine. I mean, I think I paid like 5 bucks for it.

The only thing, that might bother some people is that over time, you can see scratches on the back of that case. Because of the material used, it leaves cosmetic marks on it. Its more obvious in really good lighting, otherwise not totally noticeable though. But maybe picking a different color would change some of that.

Does the Diztronic have cut outs for the power/vol buttons? or covered? I had a Cruzerlite TPU on my GN and like the cut outs better? thanks

No cutouts for the buttons. I had a Diz on my gnex too. First got the covered buttons and they didn't work well. Then they put the cutouts in the cases, and it was much better.

That said, the buttons work just fine on the X with them covered on the Diz case. I like the case. And I don't miss the dimple on the back either.

Does anyone know if the Otterbox Commuter or Defender leave open the microphone openings for voice activation? Thanks.

Commuter does as well. Pics below

It's my first commuter case after having Defenders on past phones. I'm having a little bit of a love/hate relationship with it.

Love the form factor. Seems to provide some significant protection even after being used to the Defender series. Nice lip to guard the glass when you set it down and from drops but doesn't get into the way in actually navigating the screen.

The primary drawback is I have a problem holding on to it. The sides can be slick if you grab it just so due to the plastic exoskeleton and I've had it dropped it several times when not paying full attention.

Looks like my company will be buying the Moto X for my next phone. I'm pleased because my personal phone for the last year or so has been the Galaxy Nexus. No learning curve required.

However, I've absolutely LOVED the Verizon Galaxy Shell and Holster that I bought with the GNEX. I don't use the holster hardly at all, but found the shell perfect for my use. It's very grippy, and wasn't bulky enough to be a problem, even though I pocket carry my phone. Also, I found the inline, pop-out kickstand useful.

Are any of the cases for the Moto X remotely like the one I have for my Nexus? It snapped around the sides, but not the ends, and still protected the screen with a barely discernible raised edge.
