Root [Boost Mobile] flashing stock everything

how can i go back to cmplete out of the box software without root? i tried the guides posted 2-3 times and once done i couldnt update the software even though i had stock software and recovery. help me please if not i will just deal with the way things are. im just trying.

I do believe there is an option for that in Kies, but I suspect that Kies will then do its best to ensure that you receive the blessed gift of Knox, because 'tis the season of Christmas and giving. Don't know for sure the wording of the menu or the procedure or its effectiveness, because I only found Kies to be useful long enough to get the Samsung drivers installed on my computer before I uninstalled it. Glad I did, sounds like some users plugged their phones into their computers via USB for other purposes and Kies pushed all sorts of crap onto their phone. However, since Kies doesn't recognize rooted/custom recovery setups, pretty sure I wouldn't have had an issue. Out of curiosity, why are you looking to do this, and is there anything we can do to help, in terms of convincing you to remain rooted and customized?

Download Via*( MEGA*|*MediaFire )*--- Will take 15-20 minutes to flash.

Download this to your pc and flash to your phone using pc Odin. I've tested, this version works. It'll put you back 100% stock unrooted, and will start asking you to update to MG2, then MK5(which has Knox! You've been warned, lol). Good luck

Just wanted to test stock to see how it is to be able to get updates and stuff. I know we have the updates posted and they are able to be flashed. The thing is I never been able to flash those updates. But Thats okay because they suck anyways. I like installing custom Roms and seeing cool features. However my main reason for wanting to go to stock is to see if it would fix my SD card problem. Yesterday it randomly removed itself and now the phone won't recognize it. It worked fine for 6 months and now it won't read it. On going to try the tip I read and watched to format the card to see if that fixes it. Other then that reason I have no interest in being stock. It sucks when it comes down to it. Also i am glad you asked me why I wanted to do that because I wanted to know why people stay rooted but it isn't no Google search results for it hahaha so tell me why you think people stay rooted or your reasons to stay if you don't mind.

Check this thread out. Your SD card problems having nothing to do with rooting.

If you're having problems flashing the new update make sure you're using Philz recovery. Everyone seems to be having good luck with it.

Wow, what a great question. First, you say that you wanted to test stock to see if you can get updates. I assure you that if you flash back to stock MD7, you will get the update notification to flash to MG2. I misspoke earlier, saying that you

I understand. I knew all those reasons why to root and ythank for adding that's why you're rooted. Just know I ain't going back to stock hahaha....but what is this Knox stuff? Its all over this forum when I look at things.

Excellent post JD. But I just want to add that yes MK5 is being pushed to Boost phones OTA. My phone was asking me to update every time I unlocked it until I modded my phones build.prop.

So there is another reason to root. It's the only way to block an update.

Good to know man, thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't have the foggiest idea since I flashed my MK5 build right after it came available in the US, well before Boost made it available, so of course I haven't received any update notifications Thanks again, now I know.

soooo i made a mistake and wiped my internal storage...i was fustrated and wasnt thinking because i my sd card wasnt being read by my phone so i have a phone that wont read my 32gb sd card but will read my other 2gb one and a wiped internal storage. the point is do you know of any way to get back deleted internal storage and as far as the sd card goes im going to copy my data to my pc and format it to see if that helps(other fourms and people are saying it will most likely) and copy the data back to the sd card and try it. but yeah any advice or suggestions would be great. if you find anything pm since struckn solved the op problem with cm11 it works real good.

Older post I know but I'm hunting for a stock out of the box md7 flash, that gives ALL the stock, including no root, boost boot startup logo and shutdown logo and sounds, stock recovery.....everything as if it was out of the box, in case I EVER need to take it in or send it in to Samsung.

So JD this is for you mainly (or anyone else that's tried it)....you said the combo tar file works......so I am assuming of coarse it does workfor what I am looking for, IE: (the list above), boost logo, stock recovery...etc..etc..and also resets the triangle counter? Also does this one format the sdcard....if so I'll remove, it....I may remove it anyways just to be safe.

I ask for a reason....I've tried the back to md7 link and done the root tar file, then followed the direction to use triangle to reset the counter, then un-root via superSU, and that worked well, except one thing......I had the sprint shutdown logo. Being that it's boost mobile, they more than likely will send it in to Samsung, or tell me to, in which case Samsung will definitely pick up on that.

The Stock MD7 Odin Tar file?

The file name says COMBINATION_L710VPAMD7_L710SPTAMD7_11, just curious what the VPA and SPT refer to.

And no I don't have knox.

No clue..some weird Samsung numbering system probably...all you need to look for is the MD7 part

I'll give it a shot this coming weekend and see what becomes of it.

Update:
I flashed the combo tar file, and still yet have the sprint shutdown, not boost.

Also wasn't there a boost logo with 4g symbol on this phone? could have sworn there was.

Anyways any ideas? perhaps move the logo file over to the system replaceing the one that's there.....I'm not sure where it's located and I don't have the files so I'll need those.

Also wanna add this does not reset the counter.
