Help Swype doesn't work on 2.1

I updated to 2.1 yesterday and couldn't get the Swype I used on 1.5 to work. I downloaded 2 other Swype files. One from somewhere else but all it did was FC and another posted here but the resolution wasn't right so all it did was press the wrong keys.

Can anyone point me to a Swype that works fluently with 2.1?

I downloaded that one already and that's the one that's messed up because of the resolution.

That's pretty weird. I'm using that one on my Moment (2.1 DD10) and it works fine.

I'd double check you're sure about which one you're installing. If you have multiple versions it can get tricky. I know once on 1.5 I installed one version of TouchPal, uninstalled it and installed a different version, and it was still reading the old version info, even though it worked which signified it was a new version.

If I look at the application info page it says version 5612. I can't view that mediafire link right now, but I am 99% sure that's where I got the apk from.

Yes me too. I even checked the properties to make sure the files matched.

I'm running 2.1 DD03 though.

I had the same issue where I was comparing the apk files and swore they were the same. But after uninstalling my existing version of swype (as well as any installer that's on there, if you got it FROM swype), rebooting, then installing the version from the link, it worked fine.

Also, do you have any info on the streaming app fix? I used search but nothing useful came up.

Go to the market and download "Connectbot"
Open It, And Select "Local" from the pull down menu that says ssh.
Where it says "Nickname", type "Local"
Then type "getprop | busybox grep MSL" (without the quotes)
Then get the 6 digit number, and write it down.
Then go to "phone > Dialer > ##3282# > Multimedia > Enter "MSL" > You will see RTST Proxy, HTTPPD Proxy > modify every list > set Address with "0.0.0.0", port with '0'."
