Hey ya'll I have and LG OPTIMUS F3. T-mobile just sent out an update to my phone and unfortunately I accidentally updated. How can I revert back to the original factory os setting?

I have tried factory reset and hard reset ( volume down, home and power button).. both booted back up with updated settings. My ultimate goal is to revert back to an older Google Maps version. With the new phone update I cannot uninstall GoogleMaps. Plus some settings are annoying, I just prefer the way it was.

Any ideas or work arounds.?

They're all Factory OSes, just the newer updates are supposed to fix problems. Factory OS reset just erases your personal settings & apps. Usually no way to go back because newer is supposed to be better. But occasionally their testing misses bugs. You should call their support and ask for help, it at least documents the problem so a future update can fix it. Or could try using the LG Mobile Support tool to flash a completely older stock ROM.

If you want to just revert Google Maps to an older version (Until Google pushes out a new update to fix the latest issue), go to Settings - Apps - All, find Google Maps, then press the button "Uninstall Updates". This reverts it to the old version that the phone came with (probably very old), and not the most recent version you had.

Thanks for the info.. I was dreading that I might not be able to roll back.

When I get to google maps info.. I only see DISABLE instead of UNINSTALL UPDATES.. Image below.

It looks like LG included the latest Maps v7 in the OTA & installs it in the system partition, so no way to go back (unless you root the phone & remove it & install an older Maps apk manually). BTW root via the old Motochopper won't work anymore, so have to try another method such as "Cydia Impactor" after the LG OTA update.

Just have to wait or complain to Google to fix the problems you don't like in the next Maps update.
