Just had updates to my Galaxy Gear and Gear Manager.
Now able to get notifications for just about every app on my phone and able to view them on the gear.
This takes the watch a step closer to what we wanted it to be

Yeah, also increased the distance that the gear stays connected to your phone. Definitely not the 150m that I have read though.

How do you get the update manually? Im in the UK just got the watch, and without the update it's pretty bland

I'm runnning V700XXUAMII??? Is that launch firmware?

Any help much appreciated

In the Gear Manager app on the phone tap on paired device >software update, you'll also need to update Gear Manager

There is a way to update the phone if you are in the US. You will need odin to flash the U.K. version of the update.......or you can wait until Samsung gets off their ass and release the update, but who knows when that will happen.

What software version do you have now?

Some gears will be different depending on what country you purchased it in.

As far as I know that is the latest update for the US version of the gear.

You can check in your gear manager app....on the main menu select "paired gear" then "software update" and select "update"......it should check and see if there is any updates.......which for us there isn't.
