Multiple Contact Lists or Advance Sorting Options?

I either have Companies Organisations in a separate contact list or be able to sort my personal contacts by last name and companies/organisations by first Name... Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated.

First off welcome to the site :hello:

If I understand your question correctly, you shouldn't need to set/sort by first/last name or vice versa.

In each contact, edit it and scroll down to the "Groups" section. There you can assign each contact to a group. Then when you open your contacts, you can find them by groups. The details on how that is done is Dependant upon what device you have and what version of Android it is running.

I'm also a little confused.

I set

Sort by Last name
View as First Name, Last name

I enter

People like John Jones in Name
Companies in Organization and leave Name blank

What is listed in a single list is like ...

Susan Ashworth
Athens Pizza
Tyler Austin

... Thom

That's exactly as they should sort, since you've entered people and companies in different fields.
