Hi!
I've had my galaxy s4 since this past August and I put a screen protector on it. I was just wondering if there was a time when I should change it and put a new one on. I feel like it might be too greasy or have too many scratches and it's messing up the sensors, for example, just recently, the screen would start shaking, and the swipe becomes too sensitive and I would have to type very slowly at some points. Is this a phone problem or should I just simply change the screen protector?

Thanks!!

The first sign of a "bad" screen protector is that you have a problem distinguishing between similar small characters, like 3 and 8. The outside la7yer of the protector (the part you touch) becomes scratched and matte. That'll drive you nuts long before there's any damage to the screen. If you're having indications of screen problems it's not your screen protector. I even used Walmart transparent plastic "fabric" (sold by the yard with other fabrics) for a few years on an LCD screen with no problem, although it took a fingernail and a bit pf pressure to make the screen respond.

I've been using Zagg Invisible Shield for the past 3 yrs on my phones. I'd say when you see scratches and smugs that you can't get ride of or when its pealing. Then its time to replace it. Make sure to clean your screen everyday. When I touch and see other peoples screens, they look so nasty. (You can tell the ones who clean their screens often and ones that don't.)

I usually change them if they become annoying to the touch (scratches etc. ).
They are annoying to the touch the second you put them on.

One of the great things about my last two Samsung phones (S2 and S4) has been the way the screen feels. Plastic never feels as good and 99% of the screen protectors I see have dust or bubbles under them. It's like using a condom, it's just not the same.

I haven't used a screen protector on any of my smartphones and I've never got so much as the tiniest mark on any of them.
