Root [Verizon] Root questions

1) no

Only if you want to flash custom roms, but titanium backup prevents you losing anything.

2) to root no, to flash a custom rom yes.

3) no, you'll need the stock recovery in place to accept an OTA update.

Easiest way to remedy this, if you plan to stay on a stock rom, flash an updated stock rom with that update implemented into it.

So is it even worth rooting


I would do some research before rooting BUT if you do decide to root I can speak for the people in this forum: they're very very helpful. I asked a lot of questions before (and after) i decided to root and everyone pitched in to help guide me through flashing my first ROM. Don't be afraid to ask questions before attempting to do stuff you aren't sure about. The community is here to help :)

Once you're on the root side and you know the cool privileges you have, the possibilities are endless :thumbup:
