S3 vs Mega? What do you guys think...

So im sick of this 4gb only internal memory, its not cutting it for me and ive tried all the app2sd hacks with no success so its time to upgrade...

What are the benifits of the mega other than the 1.7ghz and bigger screen opposed to the s3.. And the fact its a lil more exoensive for the mega.... Isbt there a special or something happening for both phones right now? Thanks

Mega has a $100 instant rebate. s3 has a $30 mail in rebate that you have to wait 3 months to get back.

THe Mega is running on Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean

Really THe Mega is basicly a larger s3. Before i bought the Mega I messed around with both phones and it was pretty much screen size that separated them from each other.

You are buying the Mega for it's screen. If having a HUGE screen doesn't mean much to you. than the s3 is just fine.

I think the s3 has a little more forum support than the Mega. But the Mega does have CM11/kitkat 4.4.2.

I know the s3 has about 3 versions of cm11.

So it's really all about the screen size. If you want a nice big a$$ screen than you'll love the mega.

You know you can order the Google nexus 5 for the same price as those two phones. It has far better specs.

I would go to a store and test out both phones to compare them and see which feels better. The Mega is pretty heavy (and large) for a phone.

I also agree with bnb25 about the Nexus 5.

I've been able to move most of my apps to SD with All-in-one Toolbox and have a ton of apps now on SD

I can't move all, but most and have 2.00 GB of available storage and could probably clear about another GB if I get rid of apps I'm not using.

The S3 Benchmarks a bit faster than the LG Spirit.
With a few tweaks, mainly removing a bunch of crap from Startup, I got my LG Spirit to Benchmark at 17087 using AnTuTu Benchmark.
S3 comes in at 17956

IDK what the Mega numbers are.

The Mega is running 4.2.2 while the S3 is running 4.1

Best thing to do is go online and do a comparison on the Metro Web Site.
