Block calls while variable is ...

Hi,

I have 2 tasks in tasker, one for "Driving mode ON" and another for "Driving Mode OFF". I would like to block all calls while Driving mode is ON (and if possible answer the caller with a predefined text message).

I'm quite new to Tasker, but I love it already! Could someone please explain in detail what I have to do?

I have read the wiki, but it doesn't say how I can enable the profile only if Driving Mode is on. This blocks all calls, always...

You could set up the "Blocking Calls" profile and leave it switched off and then, in "Driving Mode", you could tell Tasker to turn on the "Blocking Calls" profile...

And how would I do that? I mean enable the profile with a task..

No need to worry... I'm not that great with Tasker myself, but have set one that does this up recently

First, set up the Call Blocker profile (leave it switched off). Next, add to the list of tasks associated with the Driving Mode profile using the "+" symbol, select "Tasker", then "Profile Status". Here you need to input Call Blocker (or whatever you called the profile) and set the status to "on" - this should sort you out
