I'm typing this sad farewell
Breathe slowly
Open your eyes

Aluminum
(Look what's in front of you)
And ten eighty p
(The screen)
What do you say?
(I say goodbye)
Is the Victory still alive?
(This is the) right choice
I'm moving off alone
Let's float to the One
Goodbye to Victory

Kudos if you can tell me what song this might be able to be sung to. Give ya a hint. Its a band from Raleigh, North Carolina and the song was released in 2012

Finally caved. For $0, and only an extra $30/month on the data, I got myself a GSM HTC One. I still have the Victory, so I'll still pop in and say hullo, but its no longer my daily driver (and with the Play Edition One existing, its a cinch getting custom ROM's that 100% work).

I think it's safe to say that the Dev community on the victory is nonexistent.

It exists in pockets and corners. I might start poking hard at the Victory once I get a new hard drive for Christmas. 80GB was barely large enough for my nexus 10 work. I tried to download/work on/compile CM10/11 for the Victory and my hard drive imploded.

It could be fun trying to port 4.4 to the Victory.

T-Mobile on the HTC One? Didn't know they were peddling it for $0 down...

At&T, actually, and it's a cinch to get it unlocked in two years. Also found out data is no longer a contract defined cost and I can adjust that any time with them.

I guarantee you that 4.4 will take a long time to even get bootable

Yep, things are kind of quiet. When I upgraded from the Motorola Triumph I was trying to pick between the Victory and the LG F3. I picked the Victory because it looked like there was more going on here...

Well I'm still happy with the Victory. Just wish I was smart enough to fiddle with the ROMs.

Dibblebill, Sorry to see you go, hope AT&T works well for you.

That's the reason as to why I picked the victory as well.

Definitely enjoying OmniROM on it. I hope to have the kernel sources for the Manta (Nexus 10), M7ATT (One) on my new ahrd disc so I can compare them to the Victory sources and start fiddling. We'll see what happens. No promises.
