Just pulled the trigger on the G2

My Galaxy Nexus is on it's last bit of life so it was time to get a new phone. Verizon gave me a deal for the G2 that I couldn't pass up. What are some tips/hints/things that I should do right away with the phone? I'm sure I'll end up rooting, but not right away. Are there any settings that I need to make sure are changed right away to get the most out of the phone?

Root it before the new update if it has been applied yet.

The factory camera setting is at 10mp you have to change that to 13mp if you want that higher resolution. Also for video recording it's set at 30fps instead of 60 so you have to change that as well for maximum video recording.😉😀

How would I do that?

Go to the app management in the menu. Click on the app you want to get rid off once you are there click disable and you are done. Most of the apps can be disabled.
