Hi,

I'm not the most tech savvy, so apologies if some of this seems fairly basic. I have a Nexus 4 on 3 (UK), and as I understand it they have begun a roll out of 4G to a certain number of cities in the UK. I live in Reading and, according to the link below, we should be one of the few cities receiving it by now.

Three names 46 cities in line for 4G LTE roll-out by end of 2014 | News | TechRadar

The other thing, obviously, is enabling the 4G on the phone. I found the following link (which seems fairly straight forward although one of the comments beneath it suggests the phone needs to be rooted, which the original article doesn't state. I'm not rooted and, if I'm honest, I'd rather not as I'm terrified of bricking the phone)

Just get straight talk and use the T-Mo sim. I am regularly getting over 15 megs down, it's stupid fast. No 4g hacks or hybrid radios needed. I'm happy. Just sayin.
I realize this is old now but the orignal poster is located in England and thus does not have Straight talk, or T mobile.

The Nexus 4 can only pick up AWS (band 4) LTE unfortunately.
