I am sure it's been asked or discussed on other threads not appropriately titled. So I thought I'd start one and ask what all has everyone removed thus far safely without much error as I like my phone to be pretty bare aside from what I have installed. So far I have removed basic Google play books/movies (I never have had a use for any of them..) Shopper, Weather, Sprint ID, Zone, LG stock browser (use chrome for the sync), Smart share and sub apps, music widget, Qmemo, LG Backup. So anything else we can add that's been safely tested?

Added by Kritter888 be sure to thank him and author of this forum AndroidGuy1991 http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-f3/801368-mod-app2external_sd-fixed-duplicate-files.html < how to have external as internal.

Added by jamstewonline be sure to thank the OP of the thread they shared, safe to remove apps as always remember to back up http://www.vmroms.com/index.php?topic=35.0

What app did you use to remove them? Are there any stock apps that shouldn't be removed?

There are several that shouldn't be removed most I just looked up what other people have successfully removed from other phones. I used nobloat free so I could do back up just in case, however if you did a full back up before rooting then you can just reload that. I have trimmed out a lot I don't use like smart screen smart share I aimed for the higher ones first. I removed all stock keyboards since I prefer the google one. If you play big games as I do then you need to partition your sd card. Doing that now and tinkering with Link2SD

Figured I'd Share this if it's any good for helping in progress of this phone, I like to remove any ciq loggers & ad aware to Op out and I noticed remote access stuff in our phone, & unfamiliar with dialer codes but was hoping someone could make a secure ROM for our phone without Spyware crap additives,

Added TrevE Logging test app
Reading his story he went through hell it sounds

I have honestly never used that app to look at files haha, I use no bloat free and test what's safe and not. I dislike bloat stuff and I try to ignore strictly just com.___ as I am unfamiliar with a lot of them do. If you have a list that are safe to remove feel free to add any and all also what they do and I will post them in the top section. Mine so far are just standard google and VM stuff since I removed Contact Storage it made my phone a little buggy until I did a restore of the file. I suggest restarted your phone after each uninstall to fully test.

I have removed most of what you have listed here . But I cannot find the play books/movies in the list of apps. I am using nobloat free and they just arent there. Unless they are named something different. Your help is appreciated.

They are google apps, unless you already removed them or your phone wasn't prebloated with them they will show up around gmail and other com.google. software

I want to remove some of the stock apps like Googled Music/Movies/Magazines/Books, Swype, and the "Weather" stuff.

I am rooted and use Link2SD. Can I just "uninstall" them from Link2SD. I notice some offer the choice of "Convert to User App" - should I do that 1st before uninstalling?

I'm looking for the safest way (with an app) to remove them.

Thanks.
