Help Android System Update

I have a SPH-L900 Sprint note 2 and I have been getting system update notifications to update to Android 4.3. When I follow the menus to update, the update quits and I have to reboot the phone. Is there a way to get the update to work or get the notifications to stop? It's a sprint phone that I'm using on Boost, but I don't know if it's been flashed or rooted.

I was trying to update from 4.1.2 to 4.3, but it wouldn't.. I had run Root Checker once before and thought that it said not rooted, but today it said rooted. So I then used System Tuner to get rid of the notifications that keep popping up for the update. That worked, but I wonder if there's anything else that I should do. Thanks.
