Root [Verizon] 4.3 Kernel w/fast charge

Holiday Greetings!

I recently flashed CarbonROM v1.8 8/24 nightly that is running smoothly to this point, however, I'd like to find a kernel that has fast charge feature. This is proving to be somewhat of a challenge for me! I went over to the XDA site where a bunch of ROMs and kernels are listed (Mikestoney link from a recent/current thread). I dl'd a BMS 4.3 kernel that had this feature however when I flashed it (followed prescribed flash method) and rebooted, wow, it went all wonky on me! Tried twice with exact results - restored nandroid.

Anybody got suggestions? Thanks

Aren't some of the BMS kernel links for specific versions? As in specific kernel downloads for 4.1 or 4.2 or 4.3.?
What version is the nightly based on?

Yes they are and I have the appropriate one. My version nightly is a 4.3 based ROM...hmmmmm!

Hmm, that's odd...that is the kernel I use.
I've tried this one:
[KERNEL][VZW][AOSP/TW][JB and KITKAT][12/20/2013] KT747 - MA6 - KTweaker - xda-developers
it has the fastcharge option, but I had issues with that kernel...I can't remember what the issue I had was :hmmmm:


Edit: here is another one that I have not tried....I think its for AOSP roms.... better read it..maybe I'm missing something, but it says it supports fastcharge

I tried that one as well but it would not reboot. I cleared dalvik/cache and fixed permissions as instructed but no go...IDK ???

Yeah, weird huh? Maybe I need a 'fresher' nightly... like the one you linked to on one of these threads.

I wouldn't think you would need a newer nightly, but, I'm outta idee-r's here big guy

I never got around to flashing yet And it won't be tonite either...gotta step out soon to go to my dads for a late Christmas party
