It is understandable that ipad outlives tab2. iPad3 has over 11500 mAh battery than tab2 has only 7000, Nexus 10 has 9000. So I would be quite surpised if it was vice versa.

I wouldnt call tab2 as a high-end product. It is just a budget price tab.

the Tab 2 is mid-range, with the Note 10.1 being the higher end. regardless, that doesn't explain why my Tab 2 still beats the Nexus 10 with a much smaller battery. the Tab 2 konks out after 8 hours of web browsing, or 7 hours of games and video. the Nexus 10 happens to be dead before the Nexus 7, with a pretty sad maximum of 7 hours tops (if all you do is browse the web or use Play Music). the iPad 3 i have, despite being two years old now, still holds its own for 10-12 in iOS 7, with the life being a little shorter on iOS 6, at around 9-10 hours. doesn't seem to matter if you're playing games or watching video, or browsing. the battery just steadily goes down normally. a shame i cannot change out the 10's battery for a larger one like i did with the S3. The Nexus 10's short battery time wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't such an agonizing 12 or so hours to recharge it from zero, with the charger supplied with it.

Just checked how my Note 10.1 (battery 7000 mAh) is working... from the last charged it has been on 5h17min (still 56% left) on wifi and surfing around the net all day long, watched some youtube vids etc.. So it would be something like 12 hours by normal surfing with wifi. Pretty good i quess =) My phone is also connected via bt to my smartwatch and headset all the time. Some widgets on background etc. From that time (5h17min/44% consumed), screen has eaten 70%, internet 13%, tapatalk 7%, android os only 5% and android system 3%, playstore 2%.

Edit. 14h18min and still 5% left makes the battery last around 15 hours: wifi on, surfing, some gaming, some youtube vids, but mostly surfing... The screen has consumed major of the battery (71% of all consumed power, internet 8, tapatalk 8, Android os 5, android system 3, ...). And yes, I have kept the screen in 25% of the maximum brightness -
it is bright enough at home and the power saver mode is enabled for the screen too (it reduces the refresh rate).
