Root tethering to ps3

Can any of you guys please help me out. I have been trying to tethering to my ps3 to play some games online but T-Mobile just ain't having that.

I know about the tether_dun_required stuff and T-Mobile still blocks it on my ps3. I've tried a bunch of tethering apps and none works. They only work before T-Mobile started hitting me with the block. The only app that actually was working was pdanet when I tether to my laptop then make my laptop into a hotspot. But today pdanet just is missing up for some reason.

Is there any ROM that doesn't have the tethering block? I know when I had my nexus 4 some ROMs had it where you could tether as much as you wanted to and tmovile couldn't block it.

Nothing personal, but I can't possibly condone you illegally using the services provided by T-Mobile to tether your data to a PS3. It's when people do things like this that ruin our beautiful unlimited data.

From the sounds of it, T-mobile is blocking tethering from the network side of things, and no app will get around that.

I'd suggest calling T-mobile and getting tethering put onto your plan if you don't already.

I used the flashable zip in post #5 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581035 then changed my APN Protocol to IPv4/IPv6 and have been tethering ever since with my hotspot usage sitting sweetly at 2.4gb (what was used in the first two days of having this phone, then realizing, oh crap I better figure out a workaround for this lol)

the OP knows about the "thread" you linked to, if you read his original post. that does not solve his problem of tethering to ps3. just good for regular computers and tablets.

A app will get around it and T-Mobile isn't exactly block they just use a little flag that comes with kit Kat to stop the internet sharing, you can unblock it as long as your plan doesn't have fine print saying tethering not allowed

so you are luckier than me. mine do not work. i can tether computers, tablets, other phones ok but not my bluray player.
on the other hand i do not need to flash anything or edit settings.db to enable tethering. just an user agent switcher does the job.
