As we all know, Android 1.6 is not on the Sprint Hero. When do you think we can expect for it to arrive for the Hero?

An a similar note, do you think HTC will ever release another firmware update in the future for Sense UI? Possibly to enhance performance even more?

They (HTC) will have to keep Sense up to date to keep up with revisions like 1.6 and 2.0 (Eclair). As things change, Im sure its going to effect the way Sense works. Could be good, could be bad.

As it stands now, a good chunk of apps break when they release a new version of Android, so it would stand to reason the same could happen with Sense UI.

Based on what I see from HTC, they are putting a good deal of stock into the whole Sense UI. Verizons going to have a phone with it, Sprint has the Hero, the Tattoo uses it. The only way they can stand to get good milage out of that is to keep it current.

It adds much needed polish to Android if you ask me.

As for 1.6, I would like to say we will be getting it in a few weeks. Im not going to hold my breath for it though, as I heard it could be as late as next year.
