OK, I have an odd problem. Get a cup of coffee, this may be long.

My company has an open WiFi network for "casual" use, but it redirects you to a log-in page one time per day when you first log-in. After accepting the disclaimer, you are redirected to our main company page. Here is the problem, when redirected the phone doubles the address, i.e., http://www.mycompany.comhttp://www.mycompany.com. This doesn't happen on my tablet, or on my any of my office mates' phones. I also have this happen on redirects from some pages on the web. This is becoming extremely annoying because I cannot type in the address either. If I do, it doubles it again when I hit go. I have scoured the settings in both Chrome and Internet and cannot find anything that appears to be associated with this. I did a FDR a while back and the problem went away for a while, but it has come back. I have actually done a couple of FDR's and it always eventually comes back. I have tried deleting history, data and cache for both Chrome and Internet and that doesn't fix it. I also cannot edit the address bar; it just puts it back to the double address. I can live with this, but would rather not. Anybody seen anything like this? Any suggestions will be eagerly received.

Thanks,

Here is something you can try to get around this:

Try using a different browser other than what came with the device.
you might want to download Chrome from the market (free) or Dolphin (also Free) and see f that gets around your login problems. I have noticed there are small idiosyncrasies between browsers that cause things to go very wrong with some, and no problems with others. I think a different browser would solve your problem. (I am an IT Person so I know a little about computer operations) LOL
Aloha and Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply Bobo, I have tried Chrome in addition to the stock browser. Both exhibit the same behavior.

Is there any way you could send us that link?

It may be the construction of the link addressing that is causing your problem.

If cannot, then no prob, but please let us know if it's possible or not.
Thank you.
