Greetings everyone! I need consolation for my phone. I treat my note 3 as a newborn baby and it's only 1 and a half week old. Just today I dropped it twice! OMG! Overall it has been dropped 3 times. Someone please tell how sturdy my baby is because I'm dying inside. I can't heal my baby because I never brought life insurance for this.

Hello, HalpImDying. :)

Welcome to AF and the Note 3 forums.

The idea of dropping my phone unprotected was one I could not bear, especially considering the cost of it. :(

I got a case for it right off the bat to hold me until the sturdy case that i prefer was available.

I feel a lot better about the phone's chances of surviving a drop now.

If I am not mistaken it is not too late to add insurance.

I had my phone for 3 years now. Dropped it 288893994847 times lol. Thr biggest height i dropped it from was probaply about 3 meters and it still looks like new! All i use is a rubber case and a screen protector. Trust me the screen protector will save your life! Sorry for the bad english :)

First, welcome to the forums.

2nd, it's obvious you don't treat it like a newborn baby, otherwise you wouldn't have dropped it at all...LOL...just teasin' you with your simile.

Now, geting to the serious part, if your phone is still working, maybe a few minor knicks and scrapes (or none at all), and the screen is 100% in tact, you should be fine.

I've never been a big fan of cases, but I bought an ultra thin (.3mm) case that covers the majority of the phone without adding any bulk at all (someone had used the analogy, in the cases thread, to a condom...which is actually a good analogy).

That and many other cases can be purchased from Sunsky. You can buy a bunch of cases from there, without hitting your wallet hard and it'll allow you to choose from cases that you feel might suit your needs the best and actually test them out.:

i don't think I'd want $6 rubber protecting my $700 phone. IMO

How much do you really think it costs these manufacturers, that charge 30-40, for cases they make?

I've never actually been a big fan of using cases, until I found my ultra slim .3mm case. And the only reason I use it is to protect blemishes. Ultimately, I have to trust myself to be more careful with my phone than any case that's made.

Here's another thing to consider...any type of case still offers more coverage/protection than none at all.

ottorbox and other $40 cases..are tanks of a case.
but i don't like to carry around tanks!

my thoughts.. i love thin and sexy.
why pay $700 for thin and sexy.. then spend $40 or more to hide it in big and bulky?

i get thin protective cases.. and cheap on amazon.

even got a clear plastic case...
going back and forth between: the clear and black.
i have 5 cases.. from amazon.. spent $20.. including shipping!

honestly, I've used and dropped my previous iPhones with a couple different cheap sub $10 cases and in every case it did perfect. Twice I dropped it on concrete and once the case cracked but that absorbed the impact and prevented any damage. (corner hit)

I have an Otterbox Defender for the 4s but it's way too bulky. I rarely used it. Sure it's going to protect it way more given it's construction, but the reality is most only take a tumble from 3' or so. Glass protection is the key.

Good Lord I'd rather pay double & get it in a few days as opposed to cheap & wait forever & a day for it to come from China. Unrelated but I'm waititng on an order from Fasttech placed a month ago.
