Root [MetroPCS] popups on text message screen

Hi guys
I am new to this and after some advice ive just noticed when I open my txt messages I have adds appearing at the top anyone know how to remove these as they are realy anoying

When you click "reply" and it takes you to the "Reply to Thread" area, scroll down a little and find the "Manage Attachments" button to add a screenshot. A popup should open letting you upload a pic. Now that I think about it, since you're new here, it may not let you upload the pic. give it a try tho.

Are you using the default messaging app or another? The only app i"m aware of that does adds is the MyExtras app metro adds to the phone but i've never seen it in the mms app.

thanks for that here is the picture however i have just noticed this is on google chrome aswell, any ideas what to use to remove it?

i have tried avg and adaware and malware but nothing appears to remove it.

Its almost gotta be an installed app.

Titanium Backup and apps like it let you freeze apps instead of uninstalling them. Freeze a bunch of apps until you don't see the adds anymore. That will help you hunt down the offending app.

OR for a quick fix, just do a factory reset. It will get rid of all the apps you've installed but also most likely get rid of the adds.

It could also be the new google services app? It has an option to have adds?

It was an app called applocker the free version now has adverts
