Headphone Jack and the Power Button

Hey there finally received my Incredible! I had two quick questions!

1. Has anyone tried plugging their headphones in? It doesnt seem to give me a solid click, rather it just slides in with a very quiet click.

2. The power button for me is a little bit slanted towards the left? Dips to the left. Anyone else?

Thanks guys!

1. I just tried and I definitely get a nice click, they go in and fit very snug. Did you try a different set of headphones maybe?

2. Now that you mention it, mine does look slightly slanted towards the left. I didn't notice that before and doesn't seem to affect the usage of it so far.

mhmm I tried different ones. My point of comparison is like plugging into a computer or an ipod.

I mean it slides in and comes out a little bit easier than an iPod.

So no experince with headphones yet. But to the power button.

It seems to click or pop after i push it...like the plastic/rubber button is recoiling..and yes it seems to tilt or wiggle around if i fingernail it on each side it will sort of stay there....

works fine just i hear the recoil after i release the button...

Yeah that sounds about right.

Any chance you could try a headphone?

Come on people! Those of you with an Incredible! Could you please try plugging in headphones and tell me how it feels?? :) Much appreciated!

Optimus Droid,

I don't know if your screename indicates you own a Motorola Droid. I did, and if you do, I understand your concerns. I received my Incredible today and tested the headjack. I am glad to say that it goes in well, does not wiggle, does not fade in/out or have any issues, and once it's in, it's firmly in. Much better than the Droid. :D

So i plugged in some headphones..they sound fine...

The plug...feels..smooth but no big CLICK...I don't know what to say...they work..it does not CLICK in but they it doesn't move around either...Im an electronics Guy and I know better than to say if its good or bad at this point...i.e. it works...So Far...

If it sounded better that's still no Guarantee that it would last...? Right?

Hi,
Day three w/ my great incredible and the power button has failed. It is stuck down and making the hardware unpredictable. I'm sure this is an isolated incident, but wanted to pass it along.
C

For example:

Can not put phone in stand-by or wake up by using button
Can not power off. When prompted to "Power off device" the hardware powers down as expected, then restarts seconds later. Will not power off completely.
When changing scenes, it prompts me to save changed scene although no scene changes were made.
Will not go to Home screen when button pushed. The phone uses the far right panel as the new home screen.

I believe this is just a hardware issue w/ the power button specifically.

The phone is so nice I don't even want to take it if for replacment b.c I might have to wait a few days for a new one.

Anyone having power button issues?

tia
