This is a strange one ... the charger that came with my Galaxy 2014 10.1 shows a little "x" on the battery when plugged in, and charges at a snail's pace (taking days for a full charge). If I plug into another mini-USB that charges my GPS ... it works just fine. Anybody else experiencing this? You'd think the charger that came with the gadget would work ... but it does not appear to.

Is it just me?

I was a bit disappointed how slow mine charged until I RTFM and learned it won't charge well while the Tablet is on. At best, it barely maintains it's current % charge if I'm using it while plugged in.

I haven't timed how long it takes but it seems overnight works for me with the Tablet switched off. Having to charge during the day is annoying if I need to use it.

I haven't read the manual but this isn't true for mine at all. It does charge slowly no matter what but it charges almost as well when it is turned on as when it's turned off.

New tablet, using original Samsung wall charger, charging it whole night while it was turned off, I switched it on in the morning and I found battery life at 53% only, with red "X" over the icon...then I unplugged and re-plugged, switched it off again...after 2 hours I switched it on again, and only 63% and the red cross over the icon again....

Yes, definitively STRANGE!

Please help :)... Should I ask a new one?

Its not just you. I'm experiencing this to and I thought I just had a bad unit. I downloaded a charger current amp app to check the current while charging with several of the OEM Samsung chargers that we have. I found that the current fluctuates ALOT when charging with each charger. A couple of the chargers showed the "X" when plugged in and a couple did not. I found out later that the X meant not enough current was being sent to the unit. Just found this odd that each OEM charger sent different amps. I think the cable that ended up working was the charger that came with my Note 2. I even tried ebay type chargers and those were hit and miss as well.
