Can any one upload the contacts apk/odex?

Thanks. It turned out to be bigger problem. I got the sim unlock code through ebay. The first code was incorrect, so I have to do a factory reset to try the third code. It did unlock the sim, but my phone is brick since I replace the default launcher with Nova. Now it only have a status bar on top without any launcher. Somehow the setting button does not work as well :( Now I have to find a recovery image :( Any suggestion?

I hate to say it, but you are probably waiting for a ROM, I was gonna use a backup from my phone to make a stock ROM, but I deleted some of the system apps already.

I haven't deleted system apps. Just disabled.

All I've changed is boot screen and rooted...

Oh. I deleted twitter I think.

Before you do anything else, connect your phone to your computer, open a terminal/command prompt, and type in the following:
Code:
adb shell
Code:
su
Approve the root access on your phone, then
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p19 of=/storage/sdcard1/system.img

Your computer may appear unresponsive for a short time, then it will say something about records in and records out, and you should have a file on your external SD card called system.img. Upload that to dropbox and send me the link. DO NOT SHARE THAT LINK PUBLICLY, IT CONTAINS PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR PHONE

I emailed Huawei to try my luck. By any chance if you will be able to make your modified "stock" rom in zip format so I can use default recovery mode to flash? I do not mind missing a few system apps as long as it can back from a brick. Thanks a lot.

Unfortunately it will not be installable using stock recovery becuase I do not know Huawei's package signature.

Too bad. Is there any way to install the Clockworkmod Recovery you posted? Hope Huawei would provide a update.zip eventually.

If your bootloader is alrady unlocked, you can just follow the instructions in the thread. If not, the other method needs your phone to be rooted and you are going to get an error every single time your phone boots.

First, download Clockworkmod from the post, and put it in the platform-tools folder of your Android SDK.

Then, hook your phone to your computer, and open a terminal/command prompt, cd to the platform-tools directory, and type the following commands in this order
Code:
adb push {name of recovery file}.img /storage/sdcard1/recovery.img
Code:
adb shell
Code:
su

Now, approve the root access on your phone, and enter the following command
Code:
dd if=/storage/sdcard1/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13

My phone is not bootloader unlocked yet but it was rooted otherwise I would not be able to remove the default launcher at the first place. I will give it a try tomorrow. Thanks again for your help.

That's normal. That's what happens when you change the recovery without being unlocked. It doesn't affect anything but it is going to do that every single time you boot

Right now it just stop there and ask me to remove the battery. I tried to get into recovery (power+volume up) or fastboot (power+volume down) mode, all stopped at the same screen. I can not adb shell to login anymore in recovery mode :( But "fastboot devices" can display connected in fastbood mode. I can also get into download mode (power+volume up+volume down). Tried the dc-unlocker to get bootloader unlocked, but can not find my phone. Tried on different computers (Win7 64, winxp 64, winxp), still no go :( Can you or anybody help on this? Thanks.

Ok, to this post, I have attached a recovery.img file, this is the stock recovery. Put your phone in fastboot mode and try the following command
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

It may allow you to do this even though your bootloader is locked because this is the stock recovery.

Thanks for your efforts. How ever I got this:
C:\Huawei.Valiant\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (20480 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.870s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 1.872s

Becuase your bootloader is locked. I thought it might let you becuase that is the stock recovery. Send an email to mobile@huawei.com with your IMEI, Serial Number, and Model Number. They will send you a lock code in 1-2 days, but they will send you one.

I did and they would not give out anymore. That is why I tried all kind of key words to google the India link :p Here is the response I got:
Dear customer,
Thank you for contacting Huawei device.
Sorry about that we can't afford this unlock code to you.
Because there has many different customizations in different countries carrier operators customized .
Customized device.plz contact your initial service provider concerning unlock code
It is subjected to them.
If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reply to this email with previous correspondences for more efficient and convenient service. We will be happy to assist you further at that time.
If you would like to get immediately involved and help from Huawei
