Install aborted. Says Error class 7
I keep forgetting... my carrier is i-wireless, not Boost Mobile. Is the rom specific for carrier?

This is for sprint only. If you upload a stock backup I will make one for your carrier.

edit: updated the OP to reflect it is for Sprint. Sorry for the confusion.

LOL... I love that you removed all the sprint bloatware for your sprint phone :D
I-wireless is on sprint system so most sprint bloatware is on my phone too.

I'm a n00b. Would I use root explorer to find stock backup or is it done another way? My SD card died in the middle of everything. Gotta go out & get a new one :d

I would appreciate it if you have time to make a i-wireless variant. Please post on how to get the stock backup for you

If you haven't modified your system directory since you got the phone (other than rooting), you can just upload 2 files from your cwm backup. You will find the cwm backup on your sdcard in /clockworkmod/backup/name-of-backup

Go in the backup directory and grab system.ext4.tar.a and boot.img. That should be all I need.

Lots easier than I thought! And harder too... can't upload system.ext4.tar.a because it's 469MB. I'm PM'ing you about cloud transfer or something

Took the plunge tonight and flashed this rom. Cruises along till Setting Permissions...
set_perm: some changes failed
E:Error in /sdcard/gordon_sp_stock_B14_deodexed_rooted.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Restored backup and scratching my head: Now what?

Thank you for posting your results. I found the problem and will have a new one up in 10 minutes or so :)

Sweet success! now the joys of re-setting up my phone. Thanks for your efforts!!

You could try out an app i love to restore settings to your device. It is called Nandroid Manager. It restores sms, call logs, apps, and app data from a nandroid (cwm recovery) backup.

I do not use TB at all. I find it to be repetitive and unnecessary since we already make backups in cwm. TB just creates more files on your sdcard.

Ah... I thought TB was a good way to keep apps & data after installing a new rom or doing a factory reset. Maybe there are other ways-- I don't have enough experience, but till you told us about this app, I thought nandroid would only allow recovery of a complete image instead of the choice to restore selected parts of the image

There is nothing wrong with TB, if you like it you should use it. I was just offering my favorite method :)
