Help No Amazon MP3 store on Inc

The amazon mp3 app tends to eat up alot of system resources for some unknown reason. Many eris rooted roms remove it by default for this reason. I don't use it personally but i'm sure you can find the apk for it if you do a google search. You need astro file manager to install it, but its a free download and an app everyone should have.

That is weird about the Amazon MP3 app. Works great on my G1 and I only activate it when I need it. Should not mess with resources if you task kill it. Does not hog resources on G1.

It was not included on Inc because HTC knew it did not work without a microsd card (the 6.6gb flash not working with apps issue). This is per Androidheadlines and them asking HTC.

The app is nice, since easy to preview songs, download and they are not DRM protected :)

cool, lease let us know.... This is something I love on my iPhone, just downloading tracks from itunes and playing them, My buddy has the moto droid and uses amazon all the time which was really cool, I was looking forward to have that option...

are there any other apps that will allow it?

I'm willing to post it if we can get a call from a mod on whether it's allowable.

Paid apps can't be posted here. Free ones can. While I can't imagine any reason that this would be considered a paid app, the fact that it's not downloadable from the Market makes it a little unclear...

Feel free to post the .apk.....
It isnt a paid app so it doesnt cross over as "Warez".
So you are good to go Rubik76, and thanks for sharing.

You can always check androlib.com to find the latest version of whatever app you are looking for. They also post links to the developer and many times give you the name of the apk file. Its a handy site to keep in your favorites list on your browser, expecially if you are looking for an app in particular or need to know what the latest version of an app is.

Meh! I do all my mp3 downloading from the laptop, so why waste valuable space on the Amazon MP3 app? IMHO, Verizon was smart not to include it in the preinstalled apps. I know its convenient, but you can't use gift certificate money through the app, and thanks to Coinstar, gift certs are my main method of mp3 purchase (I get a lot of coins at work). I spoke to a rep at Amazon, and he said its been an issue that they are working on, but its still not in the features list for a while.
