I have been with sprint since my first cell phone. but now I strongly consider going to ATT. why?

I want to get either android phone EVO or iphone. but an Android phone would require everything data and ED costs more than ATT, for what I need:

Sprint everything family Data 1500 minutes: $129 for 2 phones
ATT 550 minutes: $90 for one iphone and one regular phone.
My company got 15% corporate discount for ATT and 10% for sprint.

I know these plan are not the same but for my specific situation: I need two phones and my wife does not need data. and I don't need alot of minutes.

Everything Data will cost me more than double than my current plan: 550 minutes with data for 2 phones for $60.

any solution to this? because I like sprint for its low cost plan.

You compare one plan with 1550 minutes to one with 550 and then complain about cost?

This makes sense how...

And AT&T is $30 for personal data no matter what, your phone won't work unless you activate the data plan.

please reread my post again. I don't need many minutes. everything 1500 is the least minutes that I can pick from sprint. I just want low cost, less minutes, data and android phone

It would be cheaper if you did split plans on Sprint, do the $70 plan for your phone and then put her on either Basic (200 mins) for $30 or Talk (450mins) for $40. Then you are looking at either $100 or $110 for Sprint.

Also does anyone know what the taxes are like on either company? I might be making this up but I feel ATT is higher.

I don't need to.

You posted a plan that has data for the both of you, which you said you didn't need.

Talk: Unlimited mobile to mobile, night calling and weekends starting at 7 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges. Lines 1-2 included. Lines 3-5 are $9.99/mo./line.
* Unlimited Direct Connect: Direct Connect and Group Connect (for capable phones)
* > Learn more about what's included in this plan

Additional plan options:
Unlimited Nights & Weekends

Anytime Minutes Monthly Price Additional Anytime Minutes Lines
700 $69.99

Free calling to any cell phone, and free calling to you and your wife, you probably wouldn't go over 700 minutes.

Add data and thats 99.99

thanks for the constructive response. good idea but that would cost $20 more than ATT.

Sprint now only offers expensive buffet but I only need one cheap dish.

I just tried this and no smartphones are selectable with that plan. "The phones below are compatible with the plan you selected."

And your comment about Sprint being expensive is kinda ridiculous.

The ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST plan for an iPhone is $70.00 for 450 minutes and data.

reread my first post again. it is expensive for what I need: low minutes with data.

if you want buffet, then sprint is cheap. but if you want just a dish, then sprint does not offer, for smart phone.

Still, you're getting way more for your money with Sprint than AT&T.

I understand that I got more with sprint. but I don't want to pay for things that I don't need. I don't need that many minutes. I don't need texting.

I just need a cheap plan with few minutes and data.

Is 200 minutes not enough for her because if it were it would only be $10 more.

You could also do the Everything Plus data plan (can't get a corporate discount though) for $60 for your line by using a referral.

Since we're trying to squeeze every dime. Think of it this way, the Evo has 4G and can tether up to 8 devices. Cancel your internet account at home and just use your phone for internet access. The big plus is that you can carry your laptop with you anywhere there is a sprint signal and still have fast internet connection. It might turn out cheaper if you factor in the cost of your home internet connection. :)

good thinking. but can you download torrent using 4G? 10GB of data per night, supposed.
