Based on everything I've read, it has the same specs (RAM, resolution, etc.) as the Note 10.1, with the exception of software. This will ship with KK and some new-fangled My Magazine UI.

So basically you are paying roughly double for 2 more inches of space.

Actually it had usb 3.0, and a couple of other minor hardware differences ... connectivity things I think.... But yeah, pretty much the 2 inches.

Comparing the Note 2014 to the TabPro 10.1 though, which is the better tablet do people reckon?

The note 2014... The tab pro is the same but no spen, and only 2gb ram, instead of 3gb... and they are listed at the same price. Right now the only possible benefit of the tab pro is it is already on kitkat/magazine ux.... But that difference won't last long.

Since no one has the tab pro yet, any potential benefits from not having spen in the software and hardware, no one can know at the moment. But in terms of pure specs, note 2014.
