Help Data pull on GS4 with completely dead screen

So, my GS4 went out for a date with asphalt and they didn't get along too well unfortunately. So now I have a GS4 with a completely dead screen (it's black, notification light tells me I have messages and such but my screen's dead). I want to pull the data (contacts are the biggie here) unfortunately since I have a PIN on my phone when connected via USB none of the folders show.

From what I've read to use ADB or Droid Screen or any other solution you need USB debugging enabled at the least, which obviously I can't do without a functioning screen. Am I pretty much SOL besides getting a friend with a GS4 to do a quick board swap for me to pull data?

1) If your contacts were entered as Account contacts (which they always should be), they're at Google Contacts No need to pull anything.

2) The normal shop method is to swap a working screen into the phone. (That's why a shop will keep a phoone that's so badly damaged that only one small part still works.) But getting a friend with a working screen will work too - if you're careful and don't break anything.

Unfortunately I hadn't had anything backed up to my Google account, with my Youtube being one account and another for personal Gmail and another for work Gmail I wasn't too bright in syncing them (or thinking I did when I didn't).

Much the easiest way to do this is to use an MHL adapter and hook your phone up to a monitor. In recommending this I am assumind that the touchscreen still works even if the display doesn't. If not you could use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard but that would require having already paired them.

I'm unsure if the touchscreen is operational. I'm getting no feedback (slight vibration when touched) when I tap it and the screen's black so I can't really tell if it's responding.

I'm gonna assume I'm best off just doing a board swap and go from there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you have to have Mirroring enabled for this to work? If so, since he has the security pin enabled, it won't work unless he unlocks the phone.

I'd recommend trying your luck at entering your PIN off memory of where the numbers are. I'm sure you'd get it after a few tries, use this as a guide... if this is what your screen looks like:
