1. Is there an app or anyway to be able to set your alarm, and then turn your phone off but have your phone turn on when your alarm is suppose to go off?

I had this feature on my Blackberry Storm out of the box and really miss this feature.

2. What's the best yahoo messenger app that you can get. I'm trying to figure out which one to get.

Any input would be grateful. Thanks

For messaging, I like ebuddy. Granted you have to sign up for an ebuddy account but it give you access to all the major chat platforms.

I'm not trying to talk you down, so if I offend you I'm sorry. but, most people that own a blackberry don't know that there is different stages a blackberry turns off, more than likely your storm wasn't 100% off but in a battery saving mode.

Well when I held the power button down, it would say,

"turning device off" "Next time on will be (whatever alarm was set too)"

So if you don't have any suggestions on an app, please don't post.

This thread is for Incredible's by the way.

I'm sorry that I offended you, but I've been working at a Verizon store for some time now and 95% of blackberry owners don't realize that most of the time their blackberry isn't off and all I was saying is most likely your blackberry was just in "sleep mode" I guess you could say

if you want this on android just put your phone in airplane mode and close out of all of your apps, its basically the same thing

and I know this is the incredible forum, I'm getting mine as soon as they come off the FedEx truck at our store

There is an app called Timeriffic, which will not turn the device "off", but does let you schedule ring/vibrate status, bluetooth, wifi, airplane mode, etc....which effectively allows one to "turn off" almost everything on the phone, as well as "turning on", . via user selectable time schedules.

I use it to mute alerts and phone calls at night.

Yes, if you setup timeriffic to put the phone in airplane mode, and do not mute alerts. This way, you won't get emails, or email alerts, but you will have your alarm ring.

It is a very cool little app. Also lets the user set on/off sequences by the day of the week...as an example, mine is set to go silent at 11 pm during the week, and come back on at 7 am. On weekends, it goes silent at midnight, and comes back on at 9 am.
