I think it's very nice. If I was getting one for my wife, that would be it. Not really my style, but I like it. Certainly wouldn't get rid of my dark marauder for it.

Red's my favorite color. I ordered the moment they went live. It'll be my third Nexus 5.

One I kept box stock as a daily driver, the next one I use as my incredibly fun project phone. Rooted and continually modded because that is what I enjoy doing.

The Red one? It matches my exceedingly fast and fun Trackday Car...

I am in no way trying to be a negative poster here BUT............

Very few folks use their phones naked. I personally have never seen anyone without a protective case of some sort. Sorta goes hand in hand with the "i have a metal iPhone and the Samsung is plastic" argument.

Look at anyone with an iPhone and tell me you see the metal? Not with the rubber or plastic cases on them! How can you hate the "feel" of a plastic phone if you have plastic cases on all your phones? Oh well.

A red N5? Why not just buy a red case and be over with it?

As for those that love the red N5............I can appreciate that Trust me, I am a phone collector!! If you want or need a red N5, bless you

I bought my first Nexus 5 upon it's release on Google Play. I chose Black, then ordered the Red bumper case with great enthusiasm.

Unfortunately upon taking delivery, unlike the bright red featured on the web site, it's actually orange. It's a nice soft touch material yet it's not even close to any shade of red.

Calling Google revealed they too admitted it was "more orange than red" and happily refunded my money including shipping and tax.

Over the last two months I've searched to no avail. My Red N5 is due to arrive any day, I sure hope it's not orange...

after seeing it in unboxing videos, and actual photos of it, i think it looks great now. Before, I wasnt so sure.

Just wish the white version was the same as the red, where the sides of the phone aren't black. If the white was designed like that I would've got that instead of the black.

After my wife tried my original Black Nexus 5, she was so impressed that she asked me to setup a White one for her. After she had three iPhone's in a row, I was truly surprised since she's not a smartphone enthusiast. Yet that said, it was the larger display that she likes for her pictures.

She tends to be quick to just toss her phone in her purse, yet the white isn't showing any stains or signs of scuffs or scratches after it's first few months. It's much more durable than her easily marred white iPhone 5S was. Preferring not to use a case, she's completely happy with her N5.

I like the White with it's unique Black & White sides. I must say, that finally after years of various smartphones, the Nexus 5 ticks all the boxes as my ideal smartphone.

I never case my phones. I love the look of the red N5 but not enough to bother swapping the black one.

I don't see the point in covering a nicely designed item with bulky and/or plastic crap - simply keep it in a pocket away from my keys and if I drop it I deal with it.

I think I'd have gotten the red one if it was available when I ordered mine, just cause it's different. I'm not going to bother trading my white one though.

I think the red looks really cool but since I was a bit worried I'd get over it (and they weren't in stock on the playstore when I placed my order yesterday) I've ordered a black nexus 5. I figure I can always get a red (or any other colour I want) case later. I'm also not crazy about the coloured speaker on the white/red models.

I was a self-confessed Apple Fanboy - had all the iPhones, then saw the light and moved to Windows Phone. Had a Lumia 920 and more recently the 1020. Last week I bought a red Nexus 5 - and I love it!! I'm still keeping my Lumia 1020, but using the Nexus 5 on a daily basis. The screen quality is superb and I love the widgets. I am actually impressed with the camera too - got some lovely shots over the past couple of days. This surprised me as I'd read so many negative reviews. As good as the Lumia 1020 camera is, I never got any really nice shots with it . . .

No way. I'm a cable service tech so I'm often driving throughout town. I notice the people with the bright colored phone cases texting & driving all the time. Can you imagine having a phone with a solid fluorescent color? It stands out like the orange hunters wear here in Pennsylvania. You'd be seeing red and blue in your rear view mirror in no time.

I have the red Nexus 5 and it's amazing, to be honest. Everytime I look around I see at least a few people just staring at it. It's mindbogglingly eye catching. Love it.

Totally agree with Lennydude, it's ridiculous to get that phone and not just a $5 case off Amazon. That being said, I wish they had that when I bought mine😢
