Well I got my new Incredible today and it is Incredible... ha ha

The only thing is I don't want to leave this Eris thread, the folks in the Incredible thread are horrible and I really like the folks in this thread, well most of you!

Anyhow here are my observations so far:

1. The dialer is LAG FREE and fast, however I still had to kill the dial tones to make it to my liking.
2. Google Voice is fixed, when you make a call it displays your GV number now!
3. Same battery, this may be an issue but so far it seems fine. Keep in mind I don't do any facebook, gmail, tweeter, etc so that helps I'm sure.
4. The Seidio 1750 battery fits no problem with the cover.
5. The live wallpapers are cool but I went with the stock wallpaper to save battery life.
6. 8MP camera is just awesome

Anyway I won't say anymore and if you need questions answered let me know.

This thread title should be changed to "The Incredible vs Eris Q&A."

Since you like us better, I'm sure people would feel comfortable asking you questions and you could just hold a little Q&A and answer tiny questions.

You ain't gotta go home, and you ain't gots'ta leave from here!

LOL, if I named the thread that I would've had my ass handed to me I'm sure....

Fire away with any questions I'll give the straight scoop just keep in mind I don't do social BS networking (FB, Twitter, etc) sorry but I view all that garbage the same as reality TV.

Oh man i feel you bro, half the people over there are useless douchbags for the most part. Which is why i still hang here when possible. I mean the cluelessness is horrible.

People draining their batteries to try and get better battery life, what the hell is that about?

Most don't know the first thing about using their phone and everyone is quick to jump down your throat at the drop of a hat. I don't know how much more i can take. I really do enjoy the regulars over here in this section alot more. The knowledge and courtesy here is on a whole nother level. I'm glad my wife kept her eris and i almost wish i had kept mine just to deal with a better class of people. I'm going on and on, i tend to do that. Ok enough bashing, i know most of them mean well. But yeah i'm staying put right here for the time being :)

You should make a side by side comparison with the Eris on Youtube.

I think he is meaning more to show the speed comparision when loading apps, browser, email, ect., not spec size.

I would like to see this.

Enjoy your phone. I wanted the Incredible back in January but after a month got tired of waiting. Perhaps that is a good thing, maybe by the time for my next upgrade it will be the Incredible II with 4G!

I would LOVE to see a comparison video. I'm not planning on switching any time soon, but if I fall in love, I may decide to retire my wonderful Eris this summer or fall... I'm just really wary of getting into the "latest and greatest" cycle. It's very fiscally irresponsible, if ya know what I mean.

Consider me another one of those Eris->Incredible ship jumpers... and I love it! My friends all still have the Eris, so I'm probably going to still lurk around here to learn more about the Eris.

But I agree with waiting on the phone. The Eris with the leaked 2.1 is almost the same as the Inc, just without the insanely fast speeds. Everyone's first reaction is: Wow it's so fast!

That, and then their next comment is: WOW! It's got a flash!

So if those 2 things are important to you, then you may consider switching. Otherwise, I think I would still have stuck with teh Eris and have been happy.

I can't say I blame you. Every time I have looked through the incredible forum it is like stepping into a schizophrenics head. I don't know how they even share information with each other.

Ain't it the truth! But let's be kind for a moment and realize that most of those over there are switching from LGs or BBs not from an Eris 2.1 as we are. They'll come around, stick it out.
As for a Youtube video I don't have another camera to do that with, but suffice it to say the speed difference is incredible. It's really the first thing you notice and notice and notice. Phone quality is as if I'm on a land line or a great cell. Other than that not much difference... oh yeah, the screen is vibrant but not a deal maker since the Eris is quite stunning as well. Had it not been for the Eris I wouldn't be having so much fun because I don't have to monkey with settings etc. Is it worth $500 if you have an Eris or a Droid? Not a chance.

Edit: Or from 1.5 as you know who...

Thanks for this thread. I can't do the upgrade but I am VERY interested in new technology. I think that it's really cool to be so similar to the Eris. The Eris is a great phone. So what about the vibrate function? Any better? I miss every call if I put my phone on vibrate and put it in my side holster. With the LG Voyager, I'd feel both legs vibrating!

Definately thanks for this thread.
I'm taking my daughter in tomorrow to get her a new phone, she wants the Samsung Rogue, and I've been fearing the fact that the Increadible will be sitting there within my reach. Not even gonna walk over to it, nope don't do it, don't even think about it. But this helps as I do like my eris and I don't like spending $500. I'm pretty happy with the speed of the Eris and really don't have any complaints. But your post does help reduce that "want" factor.

No unfortunately the vibrate isn't any better than the Eris...

This may help with that. ;)

The incredible is not a eris 2.0. Its a entirely new phone which happens to be on Verizon and made by HTC with the same sense UI.

Comparing the incredible to the HTC Evo 4g would make much more sense. The only phone which is comparable to the Eris would be the Hero on sprint. Being that the phone essentially has similar traits would be no surprise to be similar.

I mean how many freaking threads should their be on the Eris board about the incredible?(thats right, mad smiley)

By now we all know that the phone is faster and offers a fm tuner, Oled screen, and 8 mp camera. That would be the main difference next to the fugly cosmetics of the incredible. Now can u all stfu bout it? or move to the incredible board
