Anyone else experiencing a slight delay when making calls? I notice when I place a call it takes my phone anywhere from 3-10 seconds to actually connect and dial the number?? Somethimes I actually look at my phone to see if the call is actually going through. Not a huge issue but curious if it's my device or a nexus issue. My friend also experiences the same issue with his Nexus 5.

Do you use Google Voice? I'm on Sprint and have Voice integrated with my N5, and I have the same issue. I've always figured it had to do with handing off the calls to Voice, but it may just be a device issue. My N5 typically takes at least 15 seconds to connect any call regardless of my signal.

No I am not using a google voice number.

That's a network delay you're experiencing. There's nothing about the phone that would cause a delay. T-Mobile in my area is excellent yet my wife's iPhone 5S does the same thing. My Nexus 5 on AT&T doesn't. It's no big deal, just a characteristic that's all.

Yeah I actually think its a Nexus 5 characteristic. My wife's G2 does not do it and my friends Nexus 5 also does it.

I just changed sim cards. Removed the T-Mobile sim from my Nexus 5, & swapped it with the AT&T sim from my Note 3 just to see if I can replicate the delay users here are reporting.

No change, both of these two networks operate just fine with my Nexus 5, no delays whatsoever. Several of my counterparts at work have Nexus 5's as well, none of us have any delays.
