Incredible Died Already! Waiting for New One!

Hey All,

Just wanted to throw this out there...see if anyone else has experienced this.
I preordered my Incredible on 04/19, I received it on Tues 04/27, charged it up, set everything up, used it, charged again Tues night, used it all day Wed, but the battery was dead by 5pm. Tried charging from 5pm yesterday all the way till 7am this morning. The phone wouldn't charge, wouldn't even power up while plugged in now. I've called Verizon CSR, & they're overnighting me a new one for tomorrow. I don't have time to goto the Verizon store & wait & fight the lines with people getting their Incredibles today.

I'm so frustrated! Back to my Palm Pre Plus for one more day!

Yeah the same thing happened to my wifes eris 2 weeks ago. Except they would only 2 day fedex it, not overnight it like yours. We had to reprogram my old phone to her line and she used it for 3 days until her phone arrived. It didn't die until after 5:30pm so it wasn't shipped until the next day. Oh well, it worked out in the end.

I would check the charger. There's been issues with Eris's and charging.

Well 2 weeks ago when my wifes eris had this problem i tried 2 different batteries that were fully charged as well and it did not make a difference, so it was the phone in that particular situation. But in his case i'd try a new charger cable if he has one or another battery if he has access to one as well.

I had this same exact problem. I got mine on Thursday the 29th. I charged it and then started using it. I charged it overnight and it was fine - fully charged in the morning. I used it throughout the day and at the end of the day it was about 30% charged. I let it charge overnight Friday night. It was charging fine when I went to sleep. Saturday morning, it was dead. No lights, no nothing, just dead. I called Verizon and they had me do 2 different types of reset (battery in and battery out) with no change.

I got a replacement that morning at the onnly Verizon store in the area to have an Incredible in stock. It was the last one, go me! So far, the new one has not died. My paranoia, however, has not died yet. :)

They didn't happen to test battery when you swapped it out did they? Just curious if this was the phone itself that died or if the battery is what failed.

You know, they actually didn't test the battery. I was in a rush to get somewhere for the weekend too so I didn't ask them to. I was honestly surprised that they didn't try to re-test it when I took it to the store.
