i'm currently in the middle of playing Tomb Raider(2013) and i love it........it has to be one of the best stories Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have done.

by far one of the best games i have played in a long time........and it holds true to the very first game with great puzzles to solve and great shoot em up scenes.

anybody played it yet? or is a fan of the series?

Why can't they make a movie similar to this story? This and many other stories from the actual games are way better then the movies which were awful.

Not sure if I like it or not, but they made her more vulnerable emotionally then the previous games.......curious to see at the end if she changes in demeanor or not.

Anyways, I have been losing some sleep and AF duties because of this game.......lol

I've been playing it the last couple of days and really like it so far. I thought using a bow would be lame, but it's really fun taking a "stealthy" approach to combat using it.

the flaming arrows with the pool of flame effect is super cool......i did end up using the bow more then anything else.

I completed this game on the PS3 and loved it that much that I have just got it for the PC and started playing it again! :D

I wasnt expecting the bow to be very good when I started playing but loved using it by the end. I pretty much just used the bow and pistols for the whole of the game.

Cant believe how much better the graphics are on the PC as well! If I had a PS4 I would def be getting the definitive version when it comes out soon!

Anybody who likes Tomb Raider should play the Uncharted games if you haven't already. (If you have a PS3) I'm on Uncharted 2 right now and it's almost the same as TR.

yeah but nathan drake is not as pretty as Lara Croft is:D

.....if he had bigger boobs then maybe:eek::D

Played it, loved it...havent finished it yet. Got the PS3 version.

Also a fan of the series, played all from the 1st to this. Loved the one(s) where you could explore and train in her mansion....the one(s) where you could be in the maze in the garden...

Of the recent older ones I'm in the middle of Underworld. Still have the PC version of 2 or 3....might see if I can play it again soon....would probably have to be in Win 98 mode or something...lol.

I can see why some didnt like this reboot, the older ones had alot more puzzles, exploring, ways to get lost. My daughter played Underworld recently after months went by and we were both lost about what to do next...lol. Finally checked her Journal and Lara said she was going back to the surface. Even with that there was no clear cut guide, direction how to get there.

Even tho the reboot is more open than Uncharted its not as open as the older versions. Like them all tho, Uncharted series too. What I do like about the reboot is you can use stealth and you dont have to use guns all the time. Even some melee action mixed in. I guess some TR purists probably didnt like that Lara didnt have to use guns to kill. Now when I play older TR games I wish I could do stealth kills, use melee.

i agree to some extent with you on the puzzles and such.....some people think it felt more like a shoot em up game then a tomb raider game. but there is a lot to explore and i think part of the challenge that i did not do was to find all of the hidden items in he game........if you go back(cuz you can fast travel) you can explore further to find everything which i might do on my next go around.

what i really liked about this game was that there was more character development on this one......Lara Croft felt more real then any of the games i played. i liked the fact that she started out some scared girl to a pretty badass chic who will stop for nothing to save her friends.

i have to see if i can play the older games on my pc..........i think 2 was my first TR game i played on the ps2 (or was it on the psone)

Just got this for PC and am about 10-15% in I think.

I don't think I have ever seen QTEs abused so badly (and what a horrible game mechanic that is). I do believe before all is said and done I am going to have nightmares with QTEs in them.

Yet, despite that, this game still manages to be damn fun, which is really impressive.

The graphics are excellent as well. So far so good

I was also unpleasantly surprised to see QTEs in Tomb Raider. It's one of my least favorite game design tropes. Tomb Raider's use of them wasn't nearly as bad as God of War, or Star Wars Force Unleashed, though.
