Screen mirroring

Can anybody confirm that screen mirroring works on the S4? The update disabled that feature on the Note 2 & I'm thinking about getting an S4 but I need to know if that feature is going to work as it's a deal breaker if it doesn't.

Thanks for the info! I got the S4 from T Mobile today but it overheats & won't charge when I stream Netflix on Miracast. Have either of you experienced the same thing? I returned a LG G2 for the same reason today. I thought it was just that phone or brand. Apparently it's not!

What is the temp. when over heating? What is the screen brightness on, when your streaming? Is the phone charging while your streaming?

The screen brightness is set to automatic. I have tried it while charging & not charging, both with the same result. You're the second person to tell me it works fine streaming directly to a Samsung tv. I wonder how connecting to a receiver could make a difference. Very odd!

Does anyone notice a bit of a lag from phone sreen to tv screen? Obviously this is ok with photos and videos but its annoying when trying to play a game

I have noticed that. On my Note 2 it fixed itself after the first couple of times I used screen mirroring.

Screen Mirroring does not work on my S4 when trying to connect to the Actiontec Screenbeam Wireless Pro that's connected to my TV. FWIW, my S4 is thru Verizon. I just got off the phone w/ Samsung. They suggested a factory data reset among several other previous steps. Reset did not work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you using wifi or your mobile connection to stream?

I understand that. But where is your data coming from? Your mobile data or home wifi?
*Edit* Sorry! I wasn't paying attention to the poster of the reply. I was wondering what the previous poster was using as a data source.

It works but only 720p, but that's always been the case.

Maybe 1080p works with a 3rd party dongle though.

I thought the overheating while streaming problem might be a 4.2.2 issue. I had Best Buy update my phone to 4.3 today & it's still doing it. So I'm back to square one. Maybe 4.4 will fix it? I doubt it!

I'm using the Netgear Push2TV receiver/dongle. I previously used the Samsung Allshare Cast Hub with my Note 2 but it didn't want to play nice with the G2 I originally upgraded to. I have not tried it with the S4 but it's almost double the price so if you're looking for an alternative to what you're trying to use now I'd suggest the Netgear.

I am able to mirror my phone to my tv with the Netgear. My only complaint is that the phone heats up quite a bit if I'm using my data connection instead of wifi as my data source. Netflix also has a slight delay when it's streaming but no other programs do. Before I upgraded my phone I was using the Samsung hub & had a lot of problems. The Note 2 I was using was a replacement & that's when the problems started. I'm assuming my problems were with the phone & not the hub but I don't know for sure.

Yes, the phone I'm currently using is an S4. Until a couple of days ago I was running 4.2.2 but now I'm on 4.3.

Few more questions...what is the Model # for your S4...Settings--More--About Phone--Model #.

Samsung Support in a tweet even confirms my particular Model is only
